Latest Koihime game reimagines Japanese heroes as female with Faylan theme song
The official website for Sengoku Koihime ~Otome Kenran Sengoku Emaki~, the latest "historical adventure game" in BaseSon's Koihime franchise, began streaming the long version of game's opening anime sequence. Anime studio ZEXCS produced the sequence, and Faylan performs the theme song "Jikū no Pulse."
Unlike BaseSon's previous Koihime games and anime, which reimagined the Chinese literary classic Romance of the Three Kingdoms with a mostly female cast, Sengoku Koihime reimagines the warriors of Japan's Sengoku (warring states) period as female. It will ship for Windows on December 20.
The earlier Koihime games inspired three television anime series with video anime spinoffs.
