Comcept and Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive series) are collaborating with Spark Unlimited on the game. The game will star a new ninja named Yaiba, who is chasing after Ryu Hayabusa, the protagonist of the Ninja Gaiden video game. Yaiba was cut in two, but has been brought back to life with cyber-tchnology as a cyborg ninja. He uses both a ninja sword and mecha weapons in his cyborg arm.
Keiji Inafune (Rockman/Megaman) had revealed the game in an announcement trailer in September 2012. Inafune remarked at the time that since he is associated as a "zombie lover," he wanted to create a zombie game. He also noted that he thought up the concept for the game soon after becoming an independent game developer, and the game will be filled with things that he likes: zombies, action, ninja, and mecha.
The game will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2014.
