Otome's Way Kickstarter for Fujoshi's Guide to Japanese Volume 2 Meets Goal

Japanese promotional and management company Otome's Way's Kickstarter campaign to fund the Fujoshi's Guide to Japanese Volume 2 met its US$13,000 goal on Saturday. The campaign will accept backers until December 2, 9 a.m. PST.

The project's stretch goals include:

  • US$15,000: an additional workbook
  • US$16,000: a supplemental digital conversation CD with Japanese and English scripts
  • US$21,000: a limited-edition print version of the textbook will be created

The volume will be 180 pages long, and the first volume's author and artist team Yumiko Akeba and Ai Yusura will write the book. The textbook will also include an digital recordings performed by "rising young vocal talent in Japan," and more digital formats of the book for customers to store on their device of choice.

Rewards include Otome's Way postcards, t-shirts, a portrait drawn by Ai Yusura, an original character or portrait drawn into the book, a speaking cameo, and a two-nights of accommodation in Ikebukuro with a tour of Otome Road, and dinner with the Otome's Way staff at a butler or BL café.

As of press time the campaign has raised US$13,750.
