Howl's Moving Castle/Kenshin actor in TV adaptation of Fujiko F. Fujio's sci-fi manga

"Mirai Dorobō" (Future Thief), a science-fiction manga short by Doraemon co-creator Fujiko F. Fujio, is inspiring a live-action television adaptation in October. The adaptation will air on October 18 as part of the Yo nimo Kimyō na Monogatari '14 Aki no Tokubetsu-hen omnibus special of short stories.

The story is about young people and old people who switch bodies. Ryunosuke Kamiki (live-action Rurouni Kenshin's Sōjirō, Howl's Moving Castle's Markl, The Secret World of Arrietty's Sho) will play Naoki Shirai, a dissatisfied college student spending his days in a fruitless job search. Kōtarō Yoshida will play Kunimasa Ōba, a wealthy but ailing cerebral physiologist who seeks healthy young bodies.

Toshiya Ono (Gatchaman Crowds, Suite Precure, tsuritama) wrote the script, and Yōsuke Gotō directed the short.
