This year's 26th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that the upcoming eighth episode of the Nisekoi: sequel television anime series will adapt the spinoff manga Magical Pâtissier Kosaki-chan.
Taishi Tsutsui is writing the official spinoff manga based on Naoshi Komi's original Nisekoi - False Love manga. Tsutsui launched the series in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ digital manga service in December. As the manga's title implies, the character Kosaki Onodera, whose family runs a Japanese sweets shop, transforms into a magical girl in the story.
The eighth episode of the Nisekoi: television anime series will also feature a special opening sequence. The episode will feature Magical Pâtissier Kosaki, Magical Gorilla Chitoge, Magical Police Marika, and the mouse Rurin.
The issue also reveals that the first compiled book volume of Magical Pâtissier Kosaki-chan will ship in Japan on June 4, the same day that the 18th volume of the main Nisekoi - False Love manga ships.
Komi's original Nisekoi - False Love manga and the anime revolve around Raku Ichijō (Kōki Uchiyama), a normal high school student who happens to be the heir to a yakuza group. The attractive but violent transfer student Chitoge Kirisaki (Nao Tōyama), the heir to a rival yakuza group, transfers to his class, and the two must pretend to date to keep a war from breaking out between their families.
The second anime season premiered in Japan on April 10. Aniplex of America is streaming the anime on Aniplex Channel, Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Daisuki services as it airs.
