The official YouTube channel of Docomo's dTV streaming service began streaming a promotional video for the second season of the Assassination Classroom anime's unaired "Extracurricular Lesson" episodes. The video features the main series' second season's current opening theme song "QUESTION."

dTV will stream the second season of spinoff shorts starting on April 29. The first season premiered on March 11 and had four episodes with each episode being five minutes long. The first season of the shorts adapted manga's "Takebayashi no Jikan" (Takebayashi's Time) and "Shihaisha no Jikan: Ni-jikan-me" (Ruler's Time: 2nd Period) chapters from the original manga.

The new season will also have four episodes.

The main series will begin its "final season" with the second season's 15th episode on April 22. The episode was originally supposed to air on April 14, but was delayed due to special news coverage of the Kumamoto earthquake.

An interview with the anime's director Seiji Kishi in Weekly Shonen Jump revealed in February that the anime will cover the manga's final chapter. The manga ended in the magazine's 16th issue on March 19.

The main anime's second season premiered on January 7, and Funimation is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.
