The wrap-around jacket band for the fifth volume of Takana Yukue's T-sensei comedy manga announced on Thursday that Nobunaga Shimazaki (Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club's Haru, My Love Story!!'s Suna) will voice the title character in the upcoming anime adaptation. The volume also announced that the anime will premiere in April on Production I.G's "Tate Anime" (Vertical Anime) smartphone app.
The Tate Anime app is accepting preregistration. The app will offer short (about three-minute) anime that will update every weekday. The new anime will be presented vertically.
The manga adapts a popular Twitter account written by a male nursery school teacher "T-sensei," chronicling his experiences on the job. The ongoing manga began serializing in Kadokawa's Comic Flapper in 2014.
The fifth volume also announced that the manga has more than 200,000 copies in print.
