Aniplus-Asia announced on Thursday that it will hold an "Anime Movie Week" screening event in Bangkok from July 11 to 18. The company will screen the Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata fine, Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl, and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion films at Paragon Cineplex, ICON CINECONIC, Quartier CineArt, and Major Cineplex Ratchayothin.

Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata fine will screen in these theaters on July 11, 12, and 18 at 11:30 a.m. GMT +7, and on July 13 to 17 at 2:00 p.m. GMT +7. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion will screen on July 11, 12, and 18 at 2:00 p.m. GMT +7, and on July 13 to 17 at 4:30 p.m. GMT +7. Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl will screen on July 11, 12, and 18 at 4:00 p.m. GMT +7, and on July 13 to 17 at 7:00 p.m. GMT +7.

Aniplus-Asia previously held a fan screening of Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata fine in Bangkok on January 11 and 12.

The film opened in Japan last October on 121 screens, and ranked at #5 in Japan and earned 136,362,600 yen (about US$1.25 million) in its debut weekend. The film earned a cumulative total of 667,463,980 yen (about US$6.14 million).

Kanta Kamei served as chief director at CloverWorks, and Akihisa Shibata (episode director for the two previous seasons) was the director. Fumiaki Maruto returned to write the script, and Tomoaki Takase returned to design the characters. Aniplex is distributing the film.

Aniplus-Asia screened Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl in Thailand last August.

The film opened in Japan in June 2019, and it sold 66,000 tickets for 100 million yen (about US$900,000) to rank #7 in its opening weekend. The film earned a cumulative total of 373,520,090 yen (about US$3.43 million).

The film features a returning staff and cast, including director Sōichi Masui, scriptwriter Masahiro Yokotani, character designer Satomi Tamura, musical composer fox capture plan, and animation production studio CloverWorks.

The movie adapts the sixth and seventh light novel volumes, Seishun Buta Yarō wa Yume-Miru Shōjo no Yume wo Minai and Seishun Buta Yarō wa Hatsukoi Shōjo no Yume wo Minai (The Young Pig-Rascal Isn't Dreaming of a First-Love Girl).

The film project follows not only the main characters Sakuta Azusagawa and Mai Sakurajima, but also a mysterious girl named Shōko Makinohara. The story depicts when each of their feelings and wishes intersect.

Aniplus-Asia screened Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion in Thailand in May 2019.

The film opened in Japan in February 2019.

Katsushi Sakurabi (Flying Witch, Heaven's Memo Pad, Lostorage incited WIXOSS), an episode director on the television anime, directed the film at J.C. Staff instead of the television anime's series director Yoshiki Yamakawa. Fujino Ōmori, the author of the original light novel series, wrote the screenplay instead of the television anime's staff writers. Shigeki Kimoto once again adapted Suzuhito Yasuda's original character designs for animation. Keiji Inai composed the music as he did for the television anime, and Warner Brothers distributed the film in Japan.

J.C. Staff adapted the novels into a television anime in 2015. The show's second season, titled Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darō ka Familia Myth II, premiered in July 2019. The anime will have a third season, which is delayed from July to "October or later" due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
