Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection Released Monday

Also 4K edition of Millennium Actress, second volumes of Hunter x Hunter and Turn A Gundam, collected third season of Dragon Ball Z, new volumes of Fairy Tail and Fairy Tail: The Final Season

On Monday January 25, Anime Limited will release Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection as a Collectors Blu-ray/DVD/CD, and a standard Blu-ray. The Collectors Edition will include a soundtrack CD, as well as the film on both Blu-ray and DVD.

The film is a sequel to the Code Geass TV series. Anime Limited describes the story (SPOILERS for the original Code Geass):

"The world finds itself enjoying an unprecedented era of peace under the leadership of the newly formed United Federation of Nations.

"Of course, any peace is a fragile one, and when a group of armed militants kidnap princess Nunnally vi Britannia and Black Knights advisor Suzaku Kururugi, the world once again finds itself on the brink of turmoil. As this crisis deepens, it becomes clear that only one man has the intellect and cunning required to trample the growing insurrection - the mysterious Zero. It's left to the immortal CC to complete the resurrection of this great leader..."

MVM will release Satoshi Kon's 2001 film Millennium Actress as a Collectors 4K UHD Blu-ray and a standard Blu-ray. The Collectors Blu-ray will include a poster and a 44-page booklet. Anime Limited describes the story:

"With the renowned Ginei Studios shutting down and their buildings about to be demolished, film-maker Genya Tachibana sets out to commemorate this historical moment by interviewing the studio's former superstar - the now-reclusive Chiyoko Fujiwara.

"Thirty years on from her disappearance from the limelight, one question lingers - why did she end her career and vanish at the peak of her acting powers? The truth lies within a key found by Genya many years prior... a key that is far more than just a memento, and instead serves as an emblem of her entire raison d'être."

Manga Entertainment will release the second collection of Hunter x Hunter on Blu-ray, carrying episodes 27 to 58.

Anime Limited will release a Collector's Blu-ray of the second volume of Turn A Gundam, carrying episodes 26 to 50; it also includes a 32-page booklet.

Manga Entertainment will release a collected Blu-ray edition of Dragon Ball Z Season 3, including a poster and four art cards.

Manga Entertainment will also release Fairy Tail: The Final Season Part 25 on Blu-ray and DVD, carrying episodes 304 to 316.

Manga Entertainment will also release Fairy Tail Collection 9 on Blu-ray and DVD, carrying episodes 188 to 212.
