Villainess Level 99 Anime Unveils 2nd Video, More Cast & Staff, Songs, January 9 Debut

Kadokawa posted the second English-subtitled promotional video and a new visual for the television anime of author Satori Tanabata and illustrator Tea's Villainess Level 99 (Akuyaku Reijō Level 99: Watashi wa Ura Boss Desu ga Maō dewa Arimasen) light novel series on Wednesday. The video announces the anime's theme songs and previews the opening theme song. The staff also announced more cast and staff members and the anime's January 9 premiere.
Mayu Maeshima performs the opening theme song "LOVE or HATE?" The characters Eleonora Hillrose and Yumiella Dolkness (as voiced by Rina Hidaka and Fairouz Ai, respectively) perform the ending theme song "Suki ga Rebechi" (Love on a Different Level).
In addition to performing the ending theme song, Hidaka is joining the cast as the same Eleonora Hillrose character (who is seen and heard towards the end of the video above).
The newly announced staff members include:

The anime will premiere on the Tokyo MX channel on January 9 at 24:30 (effectively, January 10 at 12:30 a.m. JST or January 9 at 10:30 a.m. EST). It will also run on MBS, BS11, and AT-X.

Minoru Yamaoka (Wakako-zake, Zo Zo Zombie, Zo Zo Zo Zombie-kun) is directing the anime at Jumondo. Fumihiko Shimo (Date A Live IV, Date A Live V, Full Metal Panic!) is overseeing the series scripts, Hitomi Kaiho (key animator for Fairy Tail, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic) and Lo Ho Kim (chief animation director for Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer) are designing the characters for animation, and Kana Utatane (Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, Nights with a Cat) is composing the music.
J-Novel Club is releasing the novels in English, and it describes the story:

The novel series' sixth volume will ship on January 10. Nokomi launched a manga adaptation in 2020, and it currently has three volumes.
