A Silent Voice Manga Creator Yoshitoki Oima Attends New Delhi Book Fair, Jaipur Lit Fest in India

Supersugoii announced on Friday that A Silent Voice and To Your Eternity manga creator Yoshitoki Ōima will attend the New Delhi World Book Fair and Jaipur Literature Festival in India this month. She will take part in the following panels and sessions at the following locations/events:

Ōima launched the To Your Eternity (Fumetsu no Anata e) manga in November 2016 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The manga's first arc ended in December 2019, and the second arc launched in January 2020. The third arc began in January 2023. The manga won the Best Shōnen Manga award at the 43rd annual Kodansha Manga Awards in May 2019. The manga also ranked on the American Library Association's (ALA's) Young Adult Library Services Association's (YALSA) 2019 list of Great Graphic Novels for Teens. It ended on June 4.

The manga inspired three television anime seasons. The first season premiered in April 2021. The second season premiered in October 2022. The third season premiered on October 4.

A Silent Voice began as a one-shot that Ōima published in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2011. She then turned it into a full story with the launch of a serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2013. The series ended in November 2014. Kodansha published seven compiled book volumes for the manga.

Naoko Yamada and Kyoto Animation adapted the manga into an anime film that opened in September 2016. The film earned 2.3 billion yen in Japan, and was the 19th highest-grossing film released in Japan in 2016.
