Nekocon Announces Richard Epcar and Ellyn Stern
Voices of Ghost in the Shell and Robotech come to life at Nekocon!
HAMPTON ROADS, VA - June 1st, 2009 - Nekocon is pleased to announce that Richard Epcar and his wife Ellyn Stern have confirmed they will be joining us this year.
Richard Epcar is a well known voice actor, director, actor who's career spans decades and several continents. Best known recently he is the voice of 'Batou' in all things 'Ghost in the Shell', and of 'The Joker' and 'Raiden' in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Bleach fans will know him as 'Koga' and 'Zangetsu', while older die hard fans will remember him as 'Capt. Vince Grant', or 'Ben Dixon' from Robotech.
Ellyn Stern is a writer, director, actress, producer, and voice actress who has been seen on film, television, stage, and of course heard in such anime as 'Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence' as 'Haraway', and 'Bleach' as 'Masaki Kurasaki' (Ichigo's mom).
Both bring over 2 decades of work, experience, laughs, and wisdom to the convention this year where they will be doing several panels on those subjects.
Richard will be holding an panel on Actor's/Director's, perfect for any aspiring beginners to get their feet wet and some real answers about the industry. He will also be doing an 'Out Takes' panel with some hilarious 'mis takes' from some of the series he's worked on.
Ellyn will be holding her Women in Anime panel which she has been a great success in the past at several other conventions.
