2010 Fan Expo Canada: Presented by Rogers Announces Inaugural Fan Expo Anime Film Festival
Toronto, ON (August 20, 2010) – Fan Expo Canada™: Presented by Rogers, the country's largest combined gaming, horror, comic, science fiction and anime event, today announced in partnership with AMC Independent, the first ever Fan Expo Anime Film Festival.
Exclusively during Fan Expo 2010 weekend (Aug. 27-29), Fan Expo Canada and AMC Independent team up for a special showing of three of Japan's finest anime films at AMC Yonge & Dundas 24. Each film was obtained directly from Japan in full digital transfer, and is suitable for the whole family. The films will be shown with subtitles while preserving the original spoken language in each.

Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror - Japanese Language, English Subtitles Haruka is an ordinary teenager. Her mother left this world when she was only a little child and her father has been looking after her ever since. One day, in a shrine yard, Haruka spots a strange creature resembling a fox, carrying a toy plane. But as she goes after the funny animal, she finds herself on... Oblivion Island! Tokyo Marble Chocolate - Japanese Language, English Subtitles Serious and generous, but a bit shy, Yudai has been unsuccessful with the opposite sex.
