The Pillowcases to Return to Anime Midwest

Rosemont, IL - September 21, 2013 - The Pillowcases, a cover band of Japanese rock band The Pillows, will be returning to the Chicago anime convention Anime Midwest in July 2014. The Pillowcases will be performing as part of Anime Midwest's "Epic Neverending Concert" series featuring nerdy musical performances headlined by San Diego-based Steam Powered Giraffe.

The Pillowcases are the number one Pillows cover band in the world. For many, that's all we need to say. But if not, let me ask: do you like FLCL? Of course you do. And that means you like the band the Pillows, who made the soundtrack for that anime. The Pillowcases are on a mission to rock out every con in the country and spread the joy of the music of the Pillows to everyone. Along the way, you'll hear covers of some of nerd fandom's favorite songs just to mix things up a bit. So get your butts down to see the show, it's going to be awesome.

Anime Midwest is a 3-day and 2-night convention filled with over 200 unique events, including gaming tournaments, anime screenings, Q&A sessions, autograph signings, and more. The event gives fans a chance to cosplay, explore the wares of numerous exhibitors and artists, and get autographs while making friends with over 8,000 other fans. The convention will be held July 4-6, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare and Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. Hotel rooms are available for $104 per night at
