In-Game Giveaway to Commemorate 8 Million Downloads of Shadowverse
TOKYO – March 9, 2017 – Japanese game developer Cygames has announced a special in-game giveaway to commemorate 8 million downloads of its hit collectible card game Shadowverse.
Less than a month after announcing that the game had achieved 7 million downloads, Shadowverse takes its in-game rewards one higher by offering EIGHT card packs, free for all players during the promotion, drawn from the latest card expansion, Rise of Bahamut.
Since its launch in June last year, Shadowverse has established itself as Japan's leading digital collectible card game, and is at the forefront of Japan's burgeoning esports scene. Budding strategy esports stars should play it now to give their decks a boost!
About the Eight Million Download Promotion
Users who play Shadowverse on five different days during the promotion will receive eight Rise of Bahamut card packs for use in the game – in addition to their regular Daily Bonus rewards. Players will receive four card packs for playing on one day during the promotion, and one more card pack every subsequent day that they play, up to a maximum of eight card packs. (Please note that users must complete the in-game tutorial in order to receive this gift.) The promotion will run from 5 a.m., March 10 (JST), until 5 a.m., March 29, 2017 (JST).
