Super Robot Wars Y DLC Adding New Mecha, Missions, More Now Available in Early Access
SUPER ROBOT WARS Y DLC ADDING NEW MECHA, MISSIONS AND MORE IS NOW AVAILABLE IN EARLY ACCESS
Feb. 4, 2026 – SUPER ROBOT WARS Y, the tactical turn-based combat game featuring an all-star cast of mechs and pilots, is getting new DLC available now in early access and releasing for all players on February 5. The game's second DLC, coming on the heels of a free update earlier this week bringing updated features, adds five new mecha units, 16 new Area Missions, 10 new Onboard Missions, and more. The grid-based tactical RPG developed by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals Inc. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. is adding new playable units and characters from “Kotetsu Jeeg,” “Dynamic Planning Original (Getter Robot – The Jet-Black Drifters),” and “Brave of the Legend Da-Garn.” They join the rest of the cast in a fight to rise, unite, and triumph to save the future. SUPER ROBOT WARS Y is available now for PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™ and PC via Steam®. Early access to DLC Pack 2 is available for those players who own the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition, or who have purchased the DLC 1 & 2 set. Earlier this week, a free update for all players added several new features to the game, including Special Mission: “Battle Rush 2,” which becomes available after players reach the ending and complete the first “Battle Rush” mission at least once. This evolved version of Battle Rush now spans 20 waves, requiring higher firepower, longer operational time, and more strategic resource management, while maintaining consistent balance across all difficulty settings. The update also expands the STG Memory system by introducing a new STG Memory that becomes available once Chapter 4 is completed. Pilot progression options are now increased through Status Cap Unlock, raising the pilot stat enhancement cap to +50 and extending the pilot level cap from Lv.99 to Lv.150. Mechs and weapons can now achieve +5 upgrade tiers, offering more flexibility in strengthening favorite units and further enhancing combat potential. All players will also gain access to DLC2: Area Mission Episode 1 “Omen.” This mission becomes available once players clear the first mission of Chapter 2, “A Mission for Brave Heroes,” and begins with the cast investigating a mysterious object that has fallen from outer space.
In the looming calamity of inevitable ruin, SUPER ROBOT WARS Y challenges the Guardians of Steel to rise and conquer fate. The lauded series combines an all-star mecha cast, action-packed attack animations, and an upgrade system to customize various units and pilots. The game also features a deep and engaging original story that weaves together universes from a variety of mecha anime. In a battle to determine the world's future, players strategically command an army on a grid-based battlefield, utilizing their arsenal of weapons and abilities to defeat the opposing army. SUPER ROBOT WARS Y introduces the Assist Link system, allowing certain characters to join the battlefield as part of the Assist Crew. The Assist Crew gains valuable XP with each activation, leveling up to unlock or enhance passive abilities to help units dominate the battlefield.
