  1. Rating at 8/11
  2. 8/11
The animation definitely takes some getting used to.....
  1. I've gotta admit that persuading the griffin to give away a feather had me smiling. 10/11
  2. The Port of Departure is shown to be a deathtrap. 9/11
  3. Arusu save Qoo -- in more than one way. 8/11
  4. Sheila's mother comes to wish her a happy birthday. A war with the warlocks is implied. 9/11
  5. Alice implores Sheila to help free the fairies that the warlocks have imprisoned.
  6. Alice, Sheila and Eva have been deceived.
  7. The truth is devastating; nothing is as at seems. 10/11
  8. Now things get real.... 11/11
  9. Alice and her mirror find each other. More adventures await! 10/11
  10. What does the future hold for both Alice and her mirror? 10/11
  11. At the 7:30 mark Arusu talks about Alice from the Lewis Carrol book.
The animation in the 2nd ½ is strange. I don't know what it's about.
For now, I'm rating at 9/11.
  12. The warlock army invades. The episode ends on a cliffhanger. 10/11
  13. So Lennon is a boy! And he's been misleading the girls. He is the son of Jidan. And Jidan is the father of Arusu. Jidan gave The True Book of Spells to Arusu on her birthday.
This does not make sense. How did Lennon end up on that pirate ship?
This violates the previous world building; I'm rating this at 3/11.
  14. The witches riot because all hell will soon be breaking loose. Sigma is used and then betrayed by Grande.
Episode #15 is still a stone on this albatross' neck. 8/11
  15. Everyone is heading to the Wizard Kingdom. The problems of episode #15 still remaiin.
    Rating at 8/11
  16. All hell breaks loose. Jidan is seemingly murdered.
Contradictions of episode #15 still unresolved. 8/11
  17. The last ½ dozen episodes have all had cliff hangers; but none of them have resolved the contradictions of episode #15 ─ and this episode is no different. 8/11
  18. All ends well; after all, this show is aimed at 'tween girls.
  • I am neutral about the earth tones used.
  • The actual animation is a turn off for me.
  • The actual plot structure of the whole damned series is problematic for me.
  • So I'm rating this at 7/11.
  • Rating the dub at 6/11.
  • I like the ED, but I will not bump the rating up a notch.

Episode Reviews

  1. The premise is definitely different; and there are no high schoolers in sight! Therefore, I'm rating it at 10/11.
  2. No high schoolers in sight! Woo! Hoo! Rating it at 10/11.
  3. Minare Koda loses both her apartment and her car. Rating at 10/11.
  4. Minare Koda is temporarily rehired at the curry restaurant when the owner is injured. Also, she tries to find a sponsor for her show ─ and gets schooled in the business-side of radio shows.
  5. Minare Koda decides to get serious with the radio gig. Rating at 10/11.
  6. A woman joins the restaurant staff in order to escape from her brother's domination.
  7. For the 2nd time, MInare Koda has made a false accusation to the police about the same man. So she describes the man's missing girlfriend on the air.
  8. There is drama both at the restaurant and the radio station.
  9. MInare Koda is severely conflicted about Mistuo. He's such a cad.
  10. Kanetsugo writes a script that mixes MInare Koda's life with fiction. Rating at 9/11.
  11. The episode-within-an-episode is sorta meta..... The after-action review of the broadcast shows how Minare Koda has changed a little.
  12. And the series ends with an earthquake. Community bonds are shown to be important.
