What the hell sort of n00blet asks for a Dollars-esque group invitation? I couldn't think of a dumber way to get yourself blacklisted than that... But, who knows... Maybe this group isn't as hardcore? (Although, they do appear to be...) And besides...isn't there something wrong with this picture? This sort of thread/request, in this kind of forum? >_> Those guys have a Facebook page... Just ask there. =_= |

haha there are a few groups for Durarara!! I was part of the dollars for awhile but i wasnt so active so I left, but its awesome that since the anime was out in Japan and even after the DVDs were out I saw more people joining.

Me too.
The problem with Dollars groups is...well, we have the cool passwordy splash page, the group, and the invite-only access......now what? Activity plummeted cause no one really...did anything. I'm fairly certain that's the case with the rest of them, since I've seen so many copycats, and, not to gloat, the one I was on was one of the bigger ones... It was just boring. :/ Maybe if we had a real-life Izaya to fudge things up out of monotony for us, sure it could've been a wee bit more lively... |

The Dollars (and the EotE NEET squad) is clearly based on communities liek 2ch - compare the graffiti removal etc from the anime with 2ch stunts like tracking down stolen consoles and animal abusers and outing paedophile teachers.

Obviously these pseudo-Dollars groups need to be doing community service if they want to emulate the the Dollars.
