Here are my Top 10 anime series:

1. Full Metal Panic - Excellent blend of comedy, action, romance, drama, and suspence. Kaname and Sosuke make an entertaining (albeit odd) couple.

2. The Big O - Superb animation, well-paced characters, intreging plot, awesome robot battles, and some of the best music I've heard in an anime series. The comparisons between Roger Smith and Bruce Wayne are legit, as this series does remind me of the recent Batman animated series, and Paradigm City is like an anime version of Gotham City.

3. Azumanga Daioh - Cute, likable characters, crisp animation, well-written stories, and some of the best VA in any anime series (most especially Kira Vincent-Davis as Osaka and Jessica Boone as Chiyo Mihama). The only thing that I don't like about Azumanga Daioh is the lame opening song. Also, Chiyo Mihama is the best mascot character in all of anime. Period.

4. R.O.D. OVA - Another well-animated and well-written anime. The OVA, despite being only 3 episodes long, crammed a lot of action and character developments, but in a way that was highly entertaining.

5. Neon Genesis Evangelion - See the first sentence for The Big O. The arguments between Shinji and Asuka are fun to watch. I'm more into the characters in Evangelion than all of the Judeo-Christian philosophies displayed in the series, but the religious philosophies does make this series enjoyable and interesting. I felt that this series was a little boring until Episode 8, when Asuka Soryu was introduced. Asuka's brash and tempermental attitude is an excellent companion to Shinji's whiny and wimpy disposition.

6. Chrono Crusade - It only been out for two months, but already I'm falling in love with this series. It's another typical Gonzo series - superb animation, great characters, dark and suspensful action, excellent writing, and an excellent dub cast anchored by the underrated Hilary Haag as Rosette. This series will get darker (and better) thoroughout its course. Like Evangelion, this series also uses Christian philosophies and displays them in an entertaining way. Rosette is sort of an anime version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (my all-time favorite TV show).

7. SaiKano - Another Gonzo title, this is by far the most depressing, emotional, and saddest anime series I've ever seen. It's also one of the best love stories that I've witness in any series. Shuji and Chise get my vote for best couple of 2004 because despite all of their tragic and difficult situations thrown at them, their undying love for each other proved to be their greatest strength.

8. Serial Experiments Lain - Perhaps the most intelligent anime ever created, but nothing Yoshi Abe does is anything short of spectacular. There's hardly any action in this series; it requires you to take a more cerebral approach to watching anime.

9. Kaleido Star - I think this is one of the most underrated titles in the anime market. Sora Nageino is a great role model for her determination to be the best, and she never backs down from a challenge. The animation is typical of all the Gonzo titles, but the bright colors and the circus background make it stand out from the others. I also love how Sora's relationship with Layla evolved over the course of the series, going from envy to acceptance.

10. Texhnolyze - Another creation by Yoshi Abe, this is another underrated anime series. There isn't much dialogue, but the masterful animation and suspenceful (albeit graphic) action speaks louder than words. This series shows why Yoshi Abe is considered one of anime's "geniuses".

Honorable mention (in alphabetical order): Gundam SEED, Kiddy Grade, Najica Blitz Tactics, Nurse Witch Komugi, Pretear, R.O.D - The TV, Sister Princess, Stellvia, Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain

Here are my 5 least favorite anime:

1. Reign the Conqueror - Two words: Peter Chung. Twisted Evil

2. The Animatrix - Mostly garbage. There were only 2 OVAs in this collection that I really enjoyed watching, but the rest looked like it was done with little or no effort.

3. Super Milk-Chan - Unwatchable and unenjoyable.

4. Miami Guns - Awful, even for a parody anime series. The presentation of this series was poorly executed, and I couldn't connect to the characters at all. To add to the misery, Yao is the most annoying character in anime. Period.

5. Mobile Suit Gundam F91 - Boring as sin. Pacing was rushed, characters were uninteresting, story was confusing and hard to pick up, and the ending was weak. However, there were some good fighting scenes with the Gundams, but that didn't occur until the tail end of the movie.

my top 10 and why.

01. Record Lodoss War
This D&Desque show is beginning to show it's age, but to me it fits into the fantasy/epic sword and sorcery show I've ever seen in anime. Sure Parn comes across as an incompitant warrior, but the closest part is watching him mature into a stronger warrior. Really enjoyed the music in this one also.

02. Slayers
One of the most fun shows I could possibly show to anyone of all ages that would get into the characters and simply kick back and enjoy the lightness of this show. I found myself laughing out loud frequently alone to this show because of the quirky nature of it's characters.

03. Robotech/Macross
I watched the 3rd season of Robotech(Mospeada) a few times before I decided I wanted to collect more anime and especially anything Macross related. I liked how this show blended so many genres together perfectly for me: comedy, romance, sci-fi, and mech. Highly recommended for anyone wanted to watch a classic sci-fi anime over a long haul. I've still have yet to finish Macross 7 arg..

04. Nadia
Before there was Evangelion, Gainax showed off it's excellent story telling skills in Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water. At first I didn't think I'd enjoy this show because of the older character designs, but once I got locked into the story I didn't mind and I enjoyed all the great moments Nadia and Sean had in building their relationship over the period of the series. Weird, but the Neo-Atlanteans reminded me a lot of Giant Robo's Big Fire character designs. Keene(sp?) was a cute pet lion to watch also in the show.

05. Excel Saga
Take a break from the anime norm and watch a show that has absolutely nothing to prove other than it's insane wackiness that often tests the sanity of the show. I really enjoyed the dub of this show, only disapointment would be that Jessica Calvello didn't stick around for the second half of this show as the Excel lead. If you seen quite a library of anime than you'll pick up the paradies caught in this movie. Kinda like watching shrek in a way, but this anime mind you.

06. Berserk
I didn't think there was a fantasy anime out there that could top Record of Lodoss War for me, but Berserk is quite the contendor. It's a serious anime for adults that enjoy fast story pacing and character development and don't want any of the light wacky nature a young show has like said Slayers. Gutts is kinda like the anime incarnation of Conan the Barbarian. Just watch how he swings and trains with his sword..

07. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
Quite arguably the best anime to watch on Halloween night. It has some of the best animation i've seen rendered to date. Character designs are pretty amazing, this is a must see for people who haven't had the chance to catch it. Without spoiling anything I'd say watch it! Only flaw it had for me is that the movie was too short and probably should have been maid into a short OVA series.

08. Moble Suit Gundam (original series)
If you can get past that this show was aired in Japan in 1979 and simply enjoy the story pacing of this show than you're well on your way to becoming a true Gundam fan. This show serves as a great intro into the world of Gundam, especially the UC shows. Explaining the backdrop between ZEON and the Federation. The fights are really epic and climatic in space.

09. Saber Marionette J
At first glance one would have suspect this is a show about battling androids. It turns out the show turns itself into a drama/romance between the lead male and three marionettes. I liked watching the marionettes become more human over the course of the series. Highly recommended.

10. Neo Tokyo
Truly an amazing anime feat for the legendary makers of anime Masao Mruyama (Tokyo Godfathers), Rintaro(Metropolis), Yoshiyaki Kawajiri(Ninja Scroll), and Katsuhiro Otomo(Akira). This short anime is split up into three movements Labrinth, The Running Man, and Construction Cancellation Order. The shocking part is realizing these guys made these anime shorts almost 20 years ago is quite a surprise.

The not-so-great-least-5-favorites

01. Neo Ranga
At first glance this anime looked promising a mysterious unravelling plot three girls who can control a giant foreign robot not welcomed into Tokyo. The immaturity of this show ultimately turned me off and I unfortunately collected the whole box. This is one of ADV's lesser successful shows.

02. Devil Lady
Probably, going to surprise people but this show was too dark and creepy for me. I've never had nightmares from watching anime, but I got a few of them watching this show. I like everyone of Go Nagai's shows, but this one disturbed me a little too much.

03. Zaion
Yet another crisply nice crafted GONZO show, so everything should be perfect right? Well I thought the flawed story pacing ruined the short anime experience for me.

04. Yukikaze
"For fans of Macross Plus" is what I was told. It certainly looked great animation wise, but the story was too underdeveloped for me and its quickly before the story can get anywhere.

05. Landlock
Of all the great Manga Ent. releases, Landlock holds a place at the bottom. Poor character development and crummy animation ruined the experience for me in this one.

Here is my top 5 and bottom 5, of course it's subject to change.
My top 5 favorite (most to least)

1)Great Teacher Onizuka
This anime is the best comedy I've ever seen. You could only wish we had teachers like Onizuka.

2)Haibane Renmei
This one goes deep. Real emotional parts. I'm lost for words on how to describe it. It was just great.

3)Princess Mononoke
All I can say is Hayao Miyazaki is awesome.

4)Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi
This one picks up on nonsense comedy where FLCL left off, and with a better story line. I bought the whole series after seeing the first episode.

5)Neon Genesis Evangelion
I loved Gainax after seeing this. The animation was great, and the story line was deep and meaningful. I could go on and on talking about it, but I don't want to put spoilers.

My bottom 5 (best to worst)

5)Witch Hunter Robin
It was just a waste of time. Slow plot, no comedy, and a weak plot explanation.

4)The 8th MS Team OAV and Movie
The final episode to this series had no point at all!(the episode not released in the US) The movie was entirely boring because it was comprised of cuts directly from the series.

3)Fist of the North Star Movie
I expected better from this movie. The animation was poor and the fight scenes with Kenshiro were one sided. (you see him blow up one guy, you know he'll blow up the rest)

2)Angel Sanctuary
Incest is disgusting so the story was bad.

1)Akira
I find this to be the worst anime I've seen. The story line was very weak. Start flames now, I know a lot of people liked this one.

Here is my top 10, in decreasing order

10. Ah! My Goddess ova+movie
awsome graphics, consider the age of the anime(for the ovas), and the storyline was awsome too, and extremely likable characters, especially Belldandy Razz

9. Wolf's Rain
great character design, decent storyline, but the way it was carried out really made the story memorable. The ending was extremely confusing and sad, as expected from Bones Studio, just the way i like it Smile

Since OP/ED are part of the anime too, Gravity is really one of the best ending songs.

8.Scrapped Princess
Another great anime by Bones Studio, awsome character design, very interesting story. Anyone who likes the Matrix will definately like this. I like the movement from a complete fatasy to sci-fi. It normally would feel wierd, but this one was smooth, and really suprising.

7.Kimi Ga Nozo Eien
Emotional, depressing, angest, heartwarming(the ending.. for me anyway), all in 1. And its the most 'normal' anime i've seen, i mean, everything is possible in real life, though not very probable. Great music overall, awsome vocals, Rumbling hearts and Kimi Ga Nozo Eien really stands out.

6. Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu
Extremely funny, and memorable characters, and awsome parodies of other animes. Although there really isnt a storyline, all the humors definately made up for it. Great music too, just like FMP

5.Neon Genesis Evangelion+End of Eva
Even though some parts are extremely confusing, and some really annoying characters coughshinjicough, the anime is still good. Tons of religious references with complicated storyline. Anyone who liked the game Xenogears by squaresoft will definately like this, there are a lot of similarities.

4. Fushigi Yuugi
Decent storyline overall, but nothing really stands out there. What does stand out are the characters, everyone is memorable. Great mixture of romance and drama. Some parts are really emotional and memorable, and of course many sad scenes. The art is amazing too.

3. Haibane Renmei
nothing anyone haven't mentioned yet, plain sad drama, with great characters. The music really add a lot to the mood. Anyone should like this.

2. GTO
Best comedy i've seen without a doubt, not to mention all the drama that can easily make someone depressed. Unbeatable characters like Onizuka and Urumi, with great songs such as Driver's high, last piece, shizuku, and that Porno Graffiti song, this anime is the closet anime to perfection in my opinion. Of course, if i wasnt a huge psycological anime fan, this would definately being #1. So that brings us to...

1. RahXephon
really, everything Evangelion could be, should be, wants to be, and more. Extremely complicated character interactions, deep characters, and probably the most satisfying ending out of all the 'epic' endings. Great music in general, and opening by maaya sakamoto. Perfect mixture between drama, psycological and romance. Episode 19 is definately the most memorable episode for me.

Few animes i thought are somewat disappointing, though not necessarily bad are...

Naruto-DBZ the second? everything was pretty good until they started to include like 5 min of flashbacks every episode, and extremely long battles with no storyline progressing.

FMA-My least favorite Bones Studio work, after such good works like SP, WR, and RahXephon, this just doesnt really match up with any of them. Tons of fillers, and the extremely bad twist in the end. Maybe the movie will make up for it.

.Hack//Sign- Great music, but pretty much mediocre to bad in everything else.

First of all i would like to say i am pretty new to the anime world but whatever i see i have to buy since i live in Canada.
TOP ANIME

Rouroni Kenshin (TV)
Beautiful fighting scences, and its not over dramatic like some series become. Kenshin Himura, Sanosuke Sagara, Kaoru Kamiya, are well thought out characters. Even though you know Kenshin is the best the series keeps you on the edge of your seat thinking that he might lose

Be advised I do not mean to say these are THE top 5/bottom 5 ever made, just my opinions of what I've seen and liked/disliked.

1. Fruits Basket: I watched this series a long time ago (relatively speaking) and recently purchased the whole kaboodle because I remembered how much it made me laugh and cry. Very, very few series can touch on so many emotional truths so well. An exemplary contribution to anime across the board.

2. Hellsing: I can forgive so much in terms of the varying quality of animation and divergence from the manga story line because what's left is still so great. Confession - I am very biased towards character-driven storylines and this series is everything you could ask for in this department. I prefer to focus on the accomplishments of Hellsing (some of the animation is outstanding, as are original portions of the plot) rather than the negatives.

3. Vampire Hunter D: Ok, not a series, but we've got two movies so far and they're both in my collection so they're being listed here. Amano is one of my favorite artists, 'nuff said here. The world realized in "D" is refreshing and different, but still familiar. Although the first movie (made in the 1980's) is strikingly dated in appearance and sound, I still find it enjoyable to watch and marvel at this fact every time around. The second movie I've seen dozens of times and enjoy thoroughly.

4. Rurouni Kenshin: This would be higher, but I always dismayed over the downturn the anime took after the Kyoto arc. Do I really need to add why I love this series, and the movies? No. Many others have already said whatever I would.

5. Saiyuki: I've heard hundreds of bad reviews of this series, complaints, grumbling and bad-mouthing, but I have a weak spot for this series, the first I ever ran out and purchased on DVD. Again, I prefer to focus on the positive aspects of a series than its negatives. It is entertaining, memorable and eminently re-watchable, the last being a VERY important reason why Saiyuki is No. 5 on my list.

And in sixth place, just because... Inuyasha: I once saw this series (I believe at ANN) described as nothing more than a 170+ episode monster of the week fest. WRONG. I really enjoy Rumiko Takahashi's works and this one is no exception. I cannot imagine any overhaul of anime excluding this series and so it also appears here. Great characters, nice animation, great music, emotional impact, intense action - all good stuff.

Driftroot's Least-Favorite 5

Given that I refuse to watch more than one episode of anything, anime or otherwise, I hate, this list is skewed heavily. These are series I watched enough of to have an educated opinion:

1. Texnolhyze (sp): Yeah, this is not why I was attracted to anime. I fail to see why this needed animation to be created, when I think many movies have already done a better job. I really can't stand Tex.

2. DBZ: I never really understood this to be anime until it was pounded into my head (by me) that it came from Japan. I mean, at some level I knew this, but the fact didn't really sink in until I began watching "real" anime and realized what I'd been missing out on. And no, I was NEVER a DBZ fan.

3. Meine Liebe: I'm actually watching this series right now and kicking myself every time I push "Play." Oh the bishounen angst, oh the historical drama, ooohhhh the tortured plotline... I think it will be my New Year's resolution to stop wasting my time and get on to better things.

4. Now & Then, Here & There: This is an extreme exception to my list in that I acknowledge that it's a great series and should be watched, but was so utterly depressing and disturbing to me that I really wish I had never seen it. The incredible contrast between the Cyboorg 009-esque feel of the animation and the subject matter bothers me to no end.

5. Bakuretsu Tenshi: I'm female, but I can deal with the oft-encountered fanboy fanservice factor in anime without breaking a sweat. I am, however, immediately sensitive to gratuitous fanservice, particularly when the pre-pubescent girls have bigger cup sizes than I do and the series is not aware of its own laughable, gravity-defying bosom antics. Toss in strange mixtures of 2D and CGI, bizarre and somehow also generic, overused plots as well as poorly choreographed, pathetic fight scenes and, well, that's all for me, folks. I'm outta here.

I find there to be a real logjam of series after #1 on my list, not to mention a few shows I was surprised I rated so highly.

1. Cowboy Bebop - Incredible soundtrack, likeable characters, and inspired ending. The episodes focusing on Spike and the syndicate in particular are some of the best in anime.
2. Sailor Moon S - I have to give credit to the series that introduced me to anime long long ago, and this season was its pinnacle. Amusing villains and the tension between the inner senshi and the newly arrived outer senshi more than make up for the monster-of-the-day filler.
3. Slayers Next - Great blend of comedy and action, few instances of filler, and the addition of one of the most entertaining characters in anime, Xellos.
4. Card Captor Sakura - The requisite Clamp entry to the top ten, CCS is cute, fun, and just plain nice to look at!
5. Escaflowne - Not your run of the mill girl-in-another-world series. Great music, as to be expected of Yoko Kanno, and heck...spoiler[Issac Newton is the villain! How can you not love that?]
6. FLCL - Fun, crazy, brilliant. Another great soundtrack.
7. Ah! My Goddess OAV - Classic romance, beautiful character design. Can only hope the anime lives up to its movie and OAV predecessors.
8. Azumanga Daioh - Just plain funny! Constant laughs from beginning to end and enjoyable characters.
9. Tenchi Muyo OAV - Every now and then a harem anime rises above the aimless fan-service of its peers. Also credit to the first movie, Tenchi in Love.
10. Excel Saga - The penultimate parody series in anime. Unbelievably random, silly, and delivered at speeds that will test your subtitle reading skills.

I'm pleased that in the 9 years I've been watching anime, I have avoided the real dregs of the genre enough that I only find 3 series worth mentioning for the worst category.

3. Dragon Ball GT - Obvious choice. As irritating as the prior series' could get with horribly dragged out fights, at least they could be mildly interesting at times. If you ever need to look up the phrase "beating a dead horse" you will be sure to find a picture of this series.

2. Eiken - Why? Why was this even made? It's one thing to have mindless fan-serivce, and one thing to make every female character generously developed. Then there is giving every female character a chest the size of a compact car. If you are drawing elementary students with breasts that comprise 50% of their body weight, then you need help.

1. Narutaru - Maybe the manga is good, maybe the plot gets developed, but not in the anime. Whatever storyline they were working on is completely thrown out the window midway through the run in favor of an all out attempt to shock and disgust the viewer, which they pull off all too well. This series makes the Eva children look positively well adjusted. Bonus points for maybe the most misleading pilot episode in anime history.

I'll make this simple:

1. Cowboy Bebop - best sereis ever made and possibly ever will be made. Its flawless... and I tatooed it on my arm so i guess i have to stand by it no matter what!

2. Neon Genesis - Can't watch it all the time( cause i'd probably die from depression) but for what its worth its amazing.

3. GTO - Its just that good!

4. Macross plus

5. Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory - its the only gundam series that seems logical.

6. Full Metal Panic - Its fun, and the animation is ridiculously amazing.

7. Outlaw Star - Its not really that good but for some reason i cant get enough.

8. Ghost in the Shell : stand alone complex - haven't seen it all but its shapin up pretty well.

9. Yu Yu Hakusho - again its not that good at all but i always want to see what happens next... and i guess thats important.

10. AKIRA, GHOST IN THE SHELL, PERFECT BLUE (all of these shouldnt be on any list... They're just that good and a given.)

Top 5 worst anime

5. EXCEL SAGA- I thought my head was gonna explode after like 5 min of it.

4. PUNI PUNI POEMI - Its excel saga!!!! AGAIN!!!!!

2. Blue Gender - Its inconsistent, boring, to many stereotypical characters and doesn't get you to ask for more.

1. TRIGUN - I despise this show. Its like watching an episode of pokemon. Its frustrating, the animation is dull, Character development had something going but that was halted when i realized Vash had the most illogical perspective on everything. The only thing cool about this show is the idea. But it failed miserably in my opinion. But the real reason i don't like it is because its compared to Cowboy Bebop way to often. Sorry Trigun fans. No offense but they are not even in the same league.

My top ten

1. Spirited Away - I saw sooo many different messages and morals in this, and whoever said this is for children you are very wrong! I've watched it about four times now and everytime i pick up something different. Definately the smartest, beautiful and meaningful movies I have ever seen. (this number one spot also takes up all of miyazakis movies)

2. Spriggan - My number two spot was a hard decision but Spriggan was definately very awesome (that makes no sense). It is really really amazing, the ideas, the graphics the everything... i'm disappointed it didn't spark off any other spriggan movies or series, but maybe that would've ruined it.

3. Ninja Scroll - Highly entertaining.

4. Grave of the Fireflies - Although it is a studio ghibli film it still deserves it's own spot on my list. This is definately a movie everybody has to see before they die. It's not like any other anime I have ever seen (although i haven't really seen many sad anime). I could talk about it for hours.

5. Rurouni Kenshin (series) - There is quite a big jump from 4. to 5. but that doesn't change the fact that i absolutely love rurouni kenshin!!! By far my favourite series, the ebst fight scenes the best characters (i love misao, not sure about spelling)

6. Neon Genesis Evangelion & the end of evangelion - it truly is in a league of its own. The end of eva maybe a bit too deep, every scene was too important which weighed the movie down a bit, but it still is an excellent anime!

7. Perfect Blue - The best horror anime, I know this because it gave me a few extra heartbeats. I love it's suspense at the end how it just leaves u to make of it what u will.

8. Blood: The Last Vampire - from 7 to 10 they're all pretty much the same, i loved them all. Blood was really great , a must see. Some people might not see this as a compliment or untrue but i think the blood: the last vampire is the most typical anime, and that's GREAT! It's blood, it's killing, it's gorey, it's action, it's samurai swords, it's demons... it's everything!

9. Ninja Resurrection - The main reason this is on my list is because it's an unforgettable anime. Not only is it totally awesome but i just can't forget it..

10. Samurai X: Reflection - I know that most kenshin fans hate samurai X and probably me now.... but I look at the Samurai X series as a completely different anime to rurouni kenshin... as if it's in a parralell world or something. And Reflection was very very good, maybe a bit TOO sad but still.

Now my least favourite anime that i've seen.

1. Vampire Princess Miyu - Don't get me started
2. Ghost in the Shell - Completely stupid and illogical, was i supposed to understand it?
3. Dragonball (anything) - stupid stupid stupid
4. Tenchi Muyo - Where is the storyline?
5. Orphen - LAME!

My Favorite Animes with no particular order:

1. Noir - a story about 2 assasins Kirika and Mireille.
An action packed series with a couple of sentimental episodes like Ep6, "The Lost Kitten".
The killing sequences are stylish - Kirika can kill with anything.
The music is wonderful - every piece of music perfectly matches with the atmosphere of the scene.
The camera works are nice - eg. a shooting inside a printer.

2. Grave of the Fire Flies - a story about 2 ophans Seita and Setsuko.
The saddest flim ever created in my opinion. Once you watch this film, you won't forget it. The emotional impact was so strong that the sadness had stayed with me for at least 2 days. This film is the gem of Anime.

3. R.O.D OAV - a short stylish action packed series about 2 super-powered agents Yomiko Readman "The Paper" and Nancy Makuhari "Ms Deep".
Americans have Superman, Sipderman, Batman and X-men but now the Japanese have Readman. It is already interesting to see papers in a magician's hand and papers in Yomiko's hand....

4. Perfect Blue - a thriller about an idol Mima Kirigoe and a fan. The first time I watched this anime, I was as hallucinated as Mima. The film sucessfully confused me. I need to watch it a second time in order to seperate scenes of hallucination and reality. It is hard to imagine that one will get a weird experience of hallucination through watching instead of smoking.
This anime did it.

5. My Neighbor Totoro - a warmth and imaginative story about 2 sisiters and a fluffy creature Totoro.
A family anime which is much much better than any family features from Disney. The music are so good that one may want to collect them. The vivid depiction of the children in this film deserves to be another gem of anime.

09 - Whistle!
Well, I never got to see this anime, only just read the manga. But from reading books 1 & 2 of this manga just got me interested.

08 - Soukyuu no Fafner (Fafner in the Blue Azure - Dead Agressor)
Seeing as I'm a fan of scifi-animes, this has to be the best 26-episode scifi anime series of 2004. And the story just developes really nice (even though there can be harsh moments at times).

07 - Wolf's Rain
This anime (along with Ryvius) gets my vote of one of the best animes to have great acting. Considering that it's coming from Bandai. I would expect no less from them.

06 - Gundam SEED: Destiny
This sequel, unlike last year's SEED. Went off to a harsh start. But as the story picked up it was great.

05 - Soul Hunter
Well, I must admit that the acting didn't go too well as I had expected. Though, I was kinda interested in the chinese story. And most notable there was a certain character that got me interested in watching (or reading the manga), which their names were; Taikoubou-dono, Ko Hikou, Tenka & Nataku.

04 - My Hime
This anime was interesting (as it was hilarious). About a story of "himes" (or princesses) protecting people, due to Oufans attacking.

03 - School Rumble
I like how they would add those parodies in this random-type of anime. Like in early episodes you'd see parodies of the Matrix, Initial D & Sleeping Beauty Laughing

02 - Beck
No list would be complete without seeing this anime. It's interesting to see Koyuki's transformation from earlier episodes to his recruit to Beck.

01 - either Bleach or Harukanaru: Toki no Naka de -Hachiyoshou-

These following animes would be my least favorite, due to poor acting, bad intro etc...

Top 6 Favorite Anime

1. Puni Puni Poemi - What is most likely one of the most perverse, insane anime ever created. By the creator of Excel Saga, this surpassed even the raunchiest of humor that Excel Saga had to offer, something I didn't think possible. Also, I simply couldn't get over all the fun it poked at anime and anime-realated stereotypes (IE, Tentacle hentai and Nurses in Bondage being a representation of "Japanese Culture"), especially that which I've heard so many people who don't know what they're talking about state. This is also the best quality DVD I've ever wittnessed, and I fell in love with everything from the line about having an itchy butt in the opening song, to the Sailor Moon style transformation of Poemi/Kobiyashi.

2. Excel Saga - I don't see how anyone could NOT fall deeply in love with this series. It had so many cultural refferences, to both American film and other animes. I loved how it parodied the oh so generic subject matter of the various genres of anime, and how each episode it told you in a way such as the writer of the Excel Saga manga saying "I hereby give my permission to turn Excel Saga into a Teen Drama anime!" It even had an episode in the form of a dating sim. xD I really don't see how it's possible to resist such brilliance.

3. Serial Experiments Lain - I love philosophy, religion conflict, and aspects of the human mind, along with how humanity interacts with each other as the world moves forward in evolution of technology and power. Lain had it all, and the end really left me thinking for along time about the world and people around me.

4. Adolescence of Utena - The most beautiful animated film I've ever seen. I really adore storytelling in metaphorical form, and that's what this film was almost completely composed of. It had a nice mix of action, romance, and just plain oddities that it took me about 20 reviews to figure out. (Though I still don't get the carwash scene or the "scandelous video")

5. Sailor Stars - While I love all 5 of the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon series, this has got to be the best of them all. It had a nice mix of drama, romance, comedy, and sexual innuendo without going too extreme for young people. It also had it oddities, like the transformation/sex changing, which made for some highly interesting situations (especially when it came to Seiya dating Usagi). The last 6 episodes were very dark and full of violence and distruction, and very moving moments. I enjoyed every minute of it.

6. Akira - The difinitive anime film. This movie had not one moment I wasn't glued to the screen. The artwork was stunning, and it gave a grim and very possible look into what direction our world is heading in. Not only did it have philosophical and psychological aspects, but also political, and some of the grim side of human emotion and ridicule. I've been watching it over and over for years now and it's still one of the best I've seen.

10. Girls Bravo- I was laughing the first episode of this series, and didn't really stop, I loved this series..the first season anyway.. Wink

Can't wait for next season..First one was great..I mean how can't ya love a guy being with girls anime when the guy is afraid of girls..well yeah, that rounds off my top 10.
9. Aishiteru ze Baby-
Yuzuyu and Kippei had great chemistry..It made out to be a fun story, the only thing..yuzuyu crying and hugging kippei at the end got tiresome..oh well though. It was worth it since I liked the story quite a bit. Leaves it open for a sequel..or a continuation of some sort.
8. Full Metal Panic-
I loved this series, I can't wait for the continuation of it..The Second Raid. Sousuke and Kaname just make me mad though not admitting they like one another, so irritating..But it'll come soon enough, I'm happy enough to wait.
7. Ah! My Goddess-
Good OAV and Movie..I'm just waiting for the series..glad it's comin out soon..wooo. Can't wait. Just a few more days. I have the manga, just haven't gotten a chance to read it..some time I'll get to it..just not now.
6. Neon Genesis Evangelion-
Kinda got me into watching anime actually, a friend let me borrow it..it was good. Crazy but good, after seein all the movies that have came out after I'm not sure what happened but I liked it.
5. Elfen Lied-
This was a dramatic horror series..I liked it quite a bit, Lucy was insane in this, and the ending was rather good..You don't wanna screw with the Diclonus..Well, this was good.
4. Love Hina-
This kept me gripped the whole series through wanting to know what'll happen..seeing as I watched the series first..which I'm glad I did, cause most people who read the manga first were disappointed with the series..But I read the manga afterward, it was great, and the series was damn good too, despite what most think.
3. Naruto-
I just like how Naruto and everyone progresses throughout this anime, gets better, deals with obstacles. I watched this durin the summer..I watched 1-92 in a week..that was a blast..but I was so mad I had to wait for the next episode.
2. Grand Teacher Onizuka-
This story is pretty funny, Onizuka's a badass, music's good, just a fun story. Believable, as well..to an extent.Also can somewhat relate to some of the kids' problems and non-trust.
1. Full moon Wo Sagashite-
I just love how this story developed for some reason and just liked how it went along..and the music rocked..and the ending was awesome..kept me wantin more..til the very end..and then didn't disappoint, what more can ya ask for..I love the OSTS and I wanna read the manga..haven't got a chance to.

Honorable Mention to Dears, Chobits, Hellsing, and Trigun(subbed, not dubbed) Cowboy Bebop was great too, Beck..too many to list, I'm just too tired right now to think of somethin to say about 'em..
