I'd like to see more Ai Yazawa, too. I adored Paradise Kiss and would love to be able to read more of her work. I'm hoping the monthly(?) release with Nana in it will be successful and hitch-free. She has some other series (that others have mentioned in this thread) that I would like to see too.
I can't read japanese so I don't really have a very long wishlist of untranslated manga, but I'd also like another Fuyumi Soryo (who did Mars) series if there is one.

I would like to see more of the stuff oriented to adults. An example was my favorite manga ever, Eagle, especially since in 2000 I was working for a RL figure one of the characters was based on. I wish there was more of a market in this country for that type of thing.
All the Best,

I would love to see more of Kaiji Kawaguchi's works translated. I've started reading his newest one called a Spirit in the Sun, and its starting out great. Of course I want to read The Silent Service, his most famous work, and his newest one called Zipang sounds like a great piece of alternate history. I think that his works could really bring a new audience into manga if marketed properly, so hopefully we'll see more of them soon.

Now that Angel Sanctuary is being released by Viz and Earl Cain is going to be released in Shoujo Beat, I'd love to see Fairy Cube translated into English as well. Granted, it's a new series (only two chapters have been publishe in Hana to Yume as of this date), but I'll be patient. It would also be nice to see some of her one shots as well.
On another note, I agree with jadedragon and wanderer - it would be lovely if Gokinjo Monogatari were released in the U.S. (or any other of Yazawa's works for that matter).
Also, although The Rose of Versailles was already released in English during the early 80's, it's out-of-print and thus nearly impossible to find (and I'm not sure if the entire series was translated). Ergo, 'twould be great indeed if it were re-released, assuming that the legal matters for obtaining the licenses wouldn't be too much of a hassle.

Edit: double post... Is there any way to delete these things?
Umm, I don't want this post to be completely pointless, so I'll also list some more series I'd like to see. Appare Jipangu, Maria-sama ga Miteru, Global Garden, Binetsu Shoujo and Gakuen Alice (to name a few). And although they're technically not manga, some more artbooks would be nice (preferably for Angel Sanctuary, but I'm not particular).

Agreed about the artbooks! While I couldn't get into the series, I have seen the/an Angel Sanctuary artbook and the artwork is gorgeous. Personally, I'm on a bit of a Gungrave kick, so I'd love to have that one in English. And Ai Yazawa has two that I'm aware of...and want desperately

I believe she has three actually. Nana, Gokinjo Monogatari, and Tenshi Nanka ja Nai each have artbooks, but sadly there are none for Paradise Kiss. Concerning Angel Sanctuary - I'm extremely biased in saying this, but the artbooks are just splendid. My friend was flipping through Lost Angel and I nearly burst out in tears when he got a fingerprint on one of the pages. Sure, I might seem like a fanatic, but buying imports ain't cheap (at least for a jobless student such as I).
Besides being more easily attainable than Japanese artbooks, another nice thing about having translated versions is that they often include extras like character bios, author interviews, sketches, and other information on the series. Hopefully more English artbooks are on their way; so far I only have the one for Ceres at the moment, but I treasure it very much.

Yes! I love Ai Morinaga's stuff! So far, only Duck Prince and Your and My Secret has been released here, but I'd like to see her new manga series, Maniattemasu! licsenced. And maybe Yamada Taro Monogatari, too.

What are those about? I was browsing through the encyclopedia but they only have three titles listed under Ai Morinaga, and you're putting up and extra one there...

I'll explain the one that isn't listed. Maniattemasu! is sorta the typical girl-works-as-a-maid-to-pay-off-a-debt plot, but it's really funny and quirky.

I say this everytime this question is asked, and will continue to say it until somebody does something about it.
I want Wangan Midnight licensed and released sometime during my lifetime.
I want Akai Pegasus licensed and released sometime during my son's lifetime.
and I want the complete works of Nishikaze released sometime in my great-great grandson's lifetime.

I'd say all of Tanemura sensei's works that's not here yet. I also want Read or Die and Read or Dream manag to come stateside, and Rozen Maiden.

I looked through it at Borders, and I think Watsuki's art has gotten better. His mecha skills are pretty good. I'd also like to see Black Cat, by Yabuki Kentaro. Arina Tanemura's works are a bit slow getting over here, but they're coming. Yakitate!! Japan is a title I think they should licence, but I think I can see a few reasons why it might not be picked up soon.
