Welcome aboard, DuskyPreadtor, even if it does seem a bit too late. Maybe it just means it's time for a fresh start. If it's not rude of me, I'd like to play on something from your introduction to answer Larinon's question. Please understand this isn't easy for me to say, and I'm not trying to beg for any sympathy. You mentioned that you had Asperger's Syndrome; I'm autistic. I'm actually a Wrong Planet member myself, though I don't have Asperger's. I'm resistant to saying that I have a "more severe" variant of Autism, since it makes it look like I'm playing the "I have it worse off" card, and that's not at all what I want to do. It's technically a rather serious form of PDD-NOS, if you're familiar.

Anyways, it makes it very difficult for me to interact in public. I attended college through distance education, and I work from home as well. I work full time, but I really don't get out. Socialization is deeply disturbing to me, and I have a developmental disability that prevents me from driving or even riding a bicycle so it's not easy to get out anyways.

That was incredibly difficult to tell all you guys. Strangely enough, I was actually going to eventually mention it in the conventions part of the forum with the hopes that I could get some advice on going to public places in my state :'D

I can kind of understand the social things, I have a habit of finding the right words (I often have trouble online with finding the right words), and I have a tendency to stumble over words by repeating them. I am sure I come off rather weird in real life, while on a forum I clearly put a sentence out.

I don't drive yet, but it mostly come from anxiety so far, I have gotten really stressed from parents teaching me. You have to get like 110 hrs learners pernit driving here to go for first P plate here.

Who is this new person, DuskyPredator - never heard of him before. Wink

Hey vashna - good for you for having the courage to discuss your situation. Naturally, stuff like this is nobody's business if you don't want it to be, but I always appreciate when posters draw back the curtain a bit on their real lives and give us some insight into how things are. I have to say, based on your previous posts, I would have had no idea at all what you are dealing with. That is the nice thing about message boards; they are the great leveler and things that might be impediments in RL don't matter here.

re: Vashna, I guess that does make things more difficult. I'm sorry to say I don't have much in the way of suggestions for what you can do. I would say start small though, like if you know any local fans around your age maybe get a small group together to watch anime. There are places online to find local fans, not just Facebook but Craigslist or Meetup.

For any interested, my introduction is back on page 29 of this thread. I tend to update it yearly, more or less.

Also: more pictures not previously mentioned, courtesy of my Facebook photos.

Thank you both for being so understanding. Like DuskyPredator said, it is considerably easier to actually think out everything that you want to say when you're posting something to a forum. Text gives a much greater deal of flexibility, especially since I can't grasp the concept of body language in the way that neurotypical people can. They certainly are the great leveler, and I'm glad to be surrounded by so many friends here. Thank you for the compliment though, Blood-, that really meant a lot honestly.

Do you have a mirror? If you do, continue reading.
  • If you're colorless you're White.
  • If you have a slight shade you're most likely Asian of some sort.
  • If you're a little on the brown side, like a caramel, you're probably either Hispanic or Native American. Maybe even a mix baby, but figuring out what ingredients you have would require some advanced calculus, trigonometry, physics, and a photo of your parents, so just go with Hispanic or Native American for now.
  • If you're anything darker than that then you could be either Black, Haitian, or Indian.

That extremely detailed and well put together list should give you a good foundation to work with.

Do you favor a particular brand? I mostly drink Scotch, but I'm curious about Bourbon. So far I've only tried Maker's 46, which did quite enjoy.

badum dum tush but in all honesty I really don't know besides being white what ethic groups i belong to.

Surrender Artist to answer your question that is actually the brand or name for it. However I would recommend Jim Bean since it's easier to obtain in other states with out having to come here.

The term "Ethnicity" referrs to culture rather than race. The two do get confused a lot especially with immigrants. Unless Cecil moved to Kentucky from a foreign country, his ethnicity is American, specifically U.S.of A.

ahh true enough but i am interested in my ancestral history for my own reasons. Not knowing my biological father cuts out a huge chunk there nor does not knowing any of that family what soever. I'm just a curious person in general which is why I love mysteries so much, hell I am more interested in why a person commits an act then how. This is about all the info I am willing to share with myself as of now lol.

It is a true story, though my dislike of them is not just based on that. Thought I might mention that I was kind of freaked out by all the cigarets in Cowboy Bebop when I first watched it.

I also left my ethnicity, I tend to not like to really care about that sort of thing, but I guess I am white, not that it really matters. My mother's side comes from Ireland if that helps.
