I was wondering how is the novel for Full Metall Alchemist? Is it based off the tv show? Is the english written well in the novel? How are the details in the book? And last but not least how long is the novel?

Well heres the ANN information on it:

Fullmetal Alchemist Manga

The anime is based off the manga. There are 12 volumes in Japan. Currently they are up to volume 4 here in the States. It is being done by Viz and other than a couple small errors (Ed's State Alchemist watch is called gold in one volume, silver in another and the people of the east are called Ishvalan, when it is Ishbalan, but it is corrected later.) it is done really well.

The manga basically is the same with events just a little different than in the show, and of course it doesnt have the filler episodes of the anime. So far I have enjoyed it just as much as the anime.

Yep got to hate them filler episodes..Personally, if a story is good and character development is well in placed then filler episodes are a waste of time and mostly are money. A few filler episodes I will like because it has some funny jokes but on the most side don't need them or want them.

I read that it's a 3-volume novel series by Viz. I haven't seen it at all yet but I've requested it at my library. Hopefully they'll get it soon!
