I know this would be something sorta like the introductions thread but there is a lot more to this thread than the introductions. In this thread i'm trying to get people to share their history with anime. Here is what I am including as part of your anime history:

P.S: Include the date of the post.

1. First Anime Ever Seen and sub-categories such as:
(a) Age or Year you saw that anime
(b) How you viewed such anime (TV, VHS, DVD, etc)
(b .i) (optional) If by chance you were introduced to anime by a person
(c) How long you have been watching anime

2. First Anime Purchase and sub-categories such as:
(a) How much it was
(b) Reason for buying the anime
(c) If it still remains in your collection
(d) Most recent purchase

3. Anime you are watching at the moment and sub-categories:
(a) Where you currently stand in terms of how much you've seen of the anime
(b) Current Anime you have just finished
(c) How you came across the current anime you are watching

Well thats what I have so far for it so time now for me to show my history with anime.

1. First Anime I ever saw was Ninja Scroll (Movie).
(a)The time I saw it was 1996 at age 5.
(b)I saw Ninja Scroll on TV on the Canadian channel Teletoon which aired it at mid-night (I just happened to stay awake that long).
(b .i)I was told by my cousin about Ninja Scroll and so I watched it.
(c) I have now been watching anime for about 10 years now.

2. My first anime purchase was Ghost In The Shell: The Movie
(a) When I bought it, I purchased it for about $35 dollars. To say the least it was worth it, though I ended up trading it in for another movie. That wasn't so smart of me.
(b) I bought Ghost In The Shell merely because I had heard very good things about it.
(c) As stated in 2. (a) it no longer is part of my collection.
(d) My most recent purchase of anime werer Grave Of The Fireflies and Kakurenbo since I got them at the same time for christmas.

3. Anime I am currently watching are Macross Zero, Naruto, Bleach, Hunter X Hunter and Prince Of Tennis.
(a)
. In Macross Zero I am currently on OVA 4
. In Naruto I am currently on episode 184
. In Bleach I am currently on episode 78
. In Hunter X Hunter I am currently on episode 33
. In Prince Of Tennis I am currently on episode 13
(b) Current anime I have just finished are Black Cat and BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad.
(c) I came across the anime that I am watching at the moment by fansubs, recommendations, exploring through new series and just shear hype by some of the series.

So far that is my history with anime. If people would be so kind to come up with other categories for your history with anime please suggest them. I look forward to seeing your histories with anime.

1. First anime I saw (not counting Toonami's early days and Pokemon) was also Ninja Scroll (movie).
(a) I saw when I was 11 I believe (on my birthday),
(b) I rented it from Blockbuster on VHS.
(c) I had heard about it from this guy and his buddies who were in high school at the time. I was blown away to say the least.
(d) So I guess that puts my anime viewing at around 8-9 years going on 10.

2. First anime purchase was Sorcerer Hunters (the first volume to gain the title Spell Wars) on VHS.
(a) Cost me 30 bucks but I had accidentally bought the subbed version, so I traded it in for the dub so it cost me 20.
(b) I had rented volume 1 from BB after viewing Ninja Scroll and I loved it to say the least.
(c) No it's not in my collection. I sold my VHS tapes and purchased the complete collection. Then because I felt the Anime Legends release was much more solid and proper (the original DVD releases felt so thrown together) I sold that and bought the AL DVDs. Strangely enough, I broke even.
(d) My most recent DVD purchase was probably Genshiken volume 1. I got 2 and 3 for Christmas. As for manga I bought volume 4 of Genshiken along with volume 1 of Telepathic Wanderers not too long ago. My money also tends to go to anime related merchandise here and there (Gundam models and such).

3. Anime I am currently viewing (deep breath):
Ghost In The Shell 2nd Gig, Eureka 7, Naruto, Bleach, High School Girls, Space Runaway Ideon, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Zegapain, Air GEAR, Disgaea, Witchblade, and Diebuster (been a while since a new ep. though). I'm pretty much as caught up as I can be with all of these series.
(3.A.) As for anime I will be viewing soon or hope to see in the near future are Dancougar, Macross 7, Combattler V, and Voltes V, and pretty soon the SRW OG anime. There are others but those are the ones that first come to mind.
(b) The series I just finished most recently is GaoGaiGar/GaoGaiGar FINAL. I know it's tough to tell someone to give a series 22 episodes and despite it's repetetiveness it still wound up being a great series. Also the ending was reminscent of spoiler[G Gundam] so yeah I was a bit of a sucker for it. And FINAL was simply amazing.
(c) Most of the anime is through fansubs and unfortuantley there's nothing out on DVD at the moment that I wish to purchase. However we have a local anime rental place and I try to rent series from there fairly regularly. When I can spend it I try to put my money into the hands of anime companies (but there's only so much that can go around). I get input from all over the place and sometimes I just randomly decide to dload a series just to check it out.

Right now (if it wasn't obvious already) I'm on a big mecha binge I just can't seem to get out of. I guess I just enjoy everything about the genre. Either that or each one I watch just so happens to be a very good series.

Here's some other categories.
1. I tend to watch dubs, unless the dub is outright horrible. However usually I'll watch a series twice, once with the dub and once with the sub.
2. I prefer shorter series to longer series. I like series in the 13-26-50 episode staple range. Because then even though there are exceptions (Gundam SEED Destiny) you only have so much story to tell, so there's not much room for screwing around and you get right into things. When a series goes past 50-52, then you don't know when it's going to end and sometimes it can lead to pretty atrocious results (Naruto).
3. I'll rebuy a series from time to time (Sorcerer Hunters and Nadesico). Depends on the quality of the current release compared to the re-release and what I miss out on by not buying the re-release.
4. As far as anime related hobbies, those include making AMVs, model building, drawing (I think it counts if anime is behind the interest), and video games.
5. Interesting otaku quirks. I'm a completionist. For some reason I enjoy having toys and figurines and such. However, if I get one, I have to get some sort of a set. Like the G Gundam toys, at first I wanted the just the Shuffle Alliance but due to gifts and such I wound up buying everyone who was significant in the series (yep, even have Grand Master Gundam put together). I also wound up buying all of the Kaiyodo Evas. Another quirk is when I buy manga or a DVD I scan it over to make sure it's in the most pristine possible condition. I haven't bought manga volumes before simply because of the little nicks on the edges.

Hello! This is going to require some thinking! and remembering on my part Very Happy

1. My first anime was Sailor Moon
a. It was in 1999, so I was 31 Embarassed
b. I saw a Sailor Moon R marathon on Cartoon Network while channel surfing. What caught my eye was when King Endymion was talking to Neo-Queen Serenity, in Crystal Tokyo, while she was encased in the crystal to save her life. (sue me, cute guy!)
c. So now I have been watching anime for just over 7 years.

2. My first anime purchase was Sailor Moon, of course!
a. It probably cost $29.99 on VHS per tape, sorry I don't really remember.
b. I bought it because I wanted to see it completely. Of course you have to keep in mind that it was the DiC release in the pink (?) boxes, so all of the episodes where not included.
c. The DiC pink box version does not. The ADV release of the entire English dub series does, and I also have the ADV release of the Sub-titled as well.
d. My most recent purchases: Karas, Escaflowne the movie, Escaflowne the series, Gravitation (complete series & OVA), Millennium Actress, Miyazaki films, FMA, Tenjho Tenge, My HiME, Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, Inu Yasha, Melody of Oblivion, Kyo Kara Maoh!, Loveless, Kaleido Star... (damn Suncoast for going out of business and tempting weak willed people!)

3.a. The anime I am currently watching now is Kaleido Star - I bought the complete series and am on the 3rd disc. My HiME - DVD 1, Inu Yasha - DVD 41 (ep. #123), Tenjho Tenge - DVD 6, FMA - DVD 9, Saiyuki Reload Gunlock - DVD 1, Kyo Kara Maoh! - DVD 7.
b. Just finished Gravitation, not bad, it didn't waste my time.
c. Kaleido Star and Gravitation were because of Suncoast, My HiME & Tenjho Tenge because of this forum Shocked Very Happy , I don't remember about Loveless, but the rest were because of Animerica, Newtype, and Anime Insider.

I think the next new anime I will start, when it comes available, will be Negima. There have been good things said on this forum and in Newtype, so I'm looking forward to it.

At one point in time, just this year, I was into at least 34 different anime and manga. But since several of them ended, I'm down to 18. Anime is most definitly an addiction, a costly one too! But, at least it's legal...at least until George Bush has it banned... Laughing Laughing Laughing Wink

Include the date of the post? Its on the top line...

But anyway,
1. First anime ever seen would probably be R.O.D.
~well, I wasn't serious about anime until seeing Last Exile
(a)No clue what age I saw it, probably 12-14
(b)saw it airing on TV
(c)Since I've been serious, 2 years at the most

2. First Anime Purchase Would be Last Exile thinpack boxset
(a)around $50 (now that I think about it its most likely a bootleg--not much I can do now)
(b)I couldn't part with the series Laughing
(c)Still in collection
(d)I ordered Samurai X Trust & Betrayal, Kino's Journey, and Now and Then, Here and There just 10 minutes ago from rightstuf.com (hows that for recent)

3. Anime Currently Watching at the moment,
Trigun
(a)counting the episodes I saw before I really started 'watching' it, about halfway through
(b)Just finished Haibane Renmei, now my favorite series (seriously, not just temporarily psyched over it)
(c)saw Trigun airing on AS
Neon Genesis Evangelion
(a)Just watched episode 2 last night, think I'll keep watching
(c)on AS

1. I beleive it was voltron, but not positive.
a. Mid eighties yeah thats really old.
b. TV ofcoarse VCRs were expensive.
c. Technically I would say twenty years, but I was not into technical anime. In other words watching something because it was explicitly anime till the mid nineties. So real anime watching for about ten years.

2. Ghost in the shell VHS.
a. I beleive it was on sale for 30 dollars or there abouts.
b. I had recently seen the sci fi airing of some anime, and was intrigued. I had seen promos for Ghost in the Shell, and thought it looked awesome.
c. Yes, and I do still watch it.
d. Please teacher full series boxset.

3. I cannot really touch this. I am watching most everything toonami, and adult swim have to offer. I am also watching whatever on demand gives me. Plus I got a netflix membership. So I have to be watching over a dozen series right now, and burning through many of them in a few days.
a. Not relevant
b. Fruits basket, Now and then, Elfen lied,
c.. Recommendations from these boards, and proposed recommendations from sites as to what I might like.

The first anime I ever saw was Serendipity the Pink Dragon at about 3-12 months old. (I don't actually remember this show, I just remember I used to love it when I was a little kid and I saw it in The Anime Encyclopedia and went "Holy Crap! That was probably the first TV show I ever saw!" My parents used to rent the VHS tape(s) (I don't quite remember if it was a movie or serial) for me from Blockbuster all the time. I've been watching anime all my life since then; I grew up watching Hayao Miyazaki movies, Pokemon, and other anime children's shows on television. The first anime I ever saw with actual knowledge it was anime was My Neighbor Totoro, since the theme song was in Japanese. I didn't know it as "anime" back then, though, just as a Japanese cartoon. The first show I saw with knowledge of what the medium is called was Yu-Gi-Oh.

My first anime purchase was a Ranma 1/2 VHS tape at maybe 13 or so at Salvation Army. (You can get quite a lot of anime from Salvation Army. They have Cutie Honey, Gundam Wing, Maze, and some stuff that looks like tentacle-rape hentai.) It's not still in my collection; I sold it at a garage sale a long time ago.

My most recent purchase was the first volume of Sukisho: Sukinamono wa Suki Dakara Shouganai!! which I picked up just this weekend. (It's *total* BL fangirl fodder, but it's still pretty funny and enjoyable. There's hardly a plot, though.) I'm currently watching Princess Princess, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumia, Ouran High School Host Club, and countless others. (The unlicensed shows through fansubs, and the licensed ones from online/brick-and-mortar rental places.) I really hardly ever finish a series unless I really like it, and these are just some of the ones I'm going to watch to the end. I'm up to about episode 5 of each. I have seen over 400 different anime series, with the help of state libraries that stock literally hundreds of anime DVDs for only a dollar a pop. Wink I *just* finished watching Madlax a few hours ago.[/quote]

Ooh, almost like a survey. Fun, fun.

1. First Anime Ever Seen: Neon Genesis Evangelion.

(a) I saw Eva back in 1997 or something like that. I was still a little kid at the time of watching it, so I didn't understand any of the hidden meanings or symbolistic implications, but the mecha fights appealed to me at least.

(b) I think Eva was on some random TV channel I had at the time. I don't remember any of the details, and I don't even remember which language I watched it in. I'm pretty sure there were no subtitles, so if it was in Japanese, I guess I ignored the whole storyline and was awed at the fights. I'm not even sure there was a dub made at the time...(probably not).

(c) I've been watching anime for since that long, I guess. So that makes it about 9 years, I think. Except after Eva, I watched kiddy stuff on cartoon network like DBZ and Pokemon, and thought they were even cooler than Eva (heh, probably because it actually made sense to me). I stopped watching anime after that for a while (without even the knowledge that it even was anime), and picked it up again late 2004 with Naruto (when Naruto suddenly became a huge fad at my school). By that time, I clearly knew what anime was and I guess I could consider myself an actual anime fan from that point on.

2. First Anime Purchase: Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, volume 1.
(a) It was pretty expensive, alright. I bought it in Japan though (when I took a trip there), so the price was all in yen. Something like 5000 yen. Turns out I couldn't understand a thing when I watched it (it was all in Japanese, obviously), so I guess I can consider it a good purchase when I can actually understand Japanese.

(b) I bought it because it was the first one that caught my eye when I went into the store. At that moment, I really didn't care what I bought, as long as it was cool and it was anime.

(c) It is still in my collection.

(d) My most recent purchase was Ai Yori Aoshi DVD 1 (and it was actually in English this time...). The first DVD in the series is the only one worth purchasing; the rest of the series goes way downhill with pointless gags and fanservice.

3. Anime you are watching at the moment and sub-categories: Pretty much the newer anime and ones currently ongoing. Fate/stay night, Bleach, Utawarerumono, School Rumble Ni Gakki, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Ouran High School Host Club, Nana, and Air Gear.

(a) Where you currently stand in terms of how much you've seen of the anime: Depends really. I've probably seen as much of all of those as is aired/available.

(b) Just finished Kashimashi. All of it. I wasted my time.

(c) How you came across the current anime you are watching: ANN's Spring Anime Preview Guide Very Happy. Although I was hyped up about School Rumble Nigakki and Haruhi already.

The first anime I ever saw was Speed Racer. I was 12 going on 13, the year was 1975. It had started running on the local TV station recently, KPTV 12.

I have not been a consistent consumer of anime since that time. I was turned off by anime, and American anime wannabes in the early 80s. I would try it now and again. Akira came and went, GITS came and went. I really liked the first Appleseed. But I didn't like the choices available at the local video stores at that time.

Feel like kicking myself for not buying any Oh! My Goddess titles when they came out way back when. I even lived 5 blocks from Dark Horse Headquarters in the late 90s.

I really don't know what made me think of trying anime again. I had watched Pokemon on TV, and had some fun with it for a bit. I watched a bunch of Dragonball Z when it came on TV. Tried to rent it from Netflix, which I had also recently joined, not much there at that time. I think it was Big O on CN, that got me thinking about anime as something more than it had been. But until Netflix started getting more titles, there was not much choice for me. I am loathe to buy anything unless I really like it. Record companies taught me that a long time ago.

I didn't buy any anime until this year. Bought GITS SAC vols. 1-3. Bought it from a re-direct from ANN at Anime Castle. Don't know the price off the top of my head. Hope I still have the record somewhere. I bought this title, as it was really good stuff. I thought it was better than the movie.

My most recent purchase is the O!MG set that was in the ANN news last week.

I am currently watching all the Samurai Jack episodes. I don't consider it anime. Only year 2 vol. 2 to go.

Just finished Hellsing. That was great! Love that jazz tune in the OP. I want more. Discovered this by reading posts in ANN.

This seems like a fun topic for some reason.

1. First anime I saw and was aware it was an anime was Pokemon.
(a) I started watching Pokemon somewhere between 1998 and 1999. I was about 13 or 14. Maybe a little too old for it but I didn't really care cause I really liked it.
(b) I watched it on Kid's WB.
(c) I've been watching anime for 7 years but haven't really actively watched it until about 4 years ago

2. First anime I bought was Excel Saga.
(a) I bought the first volume at a privatly owned store for $25.
(b) I saw some of it at a friend's house and liked it a lot.
(c) They're all still in my collection.
(d) Most recently I bought Hare+Guu vol. 2.

3. Right now I'm watching:
I. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (saw 6 episodes)
II. Himesama Goyojin (saw 1 episode, raw)
III. Disgaea (saw 2 episodes)
IV. Kino's Journey (saw 2 episodes)
V. Mahoromatic: Something More Beautiful (saw 6 episodes)
VI. Full Metal Alchemist (saw 22 episodes)
(b) The anime I've most recently finished would be Kiddy Grade and Mahoromatic, both which I finished about a month ago I think.
(c) I. TMSH I stumbled across when it first came out and nobody knew about it. Looked like something I'd like so I gave the first episode a shot and loved it. It's popularity in the anime fandom exploded soon after that.
II. I'm watching Himesama Goyojin because I'm obsessed with Ryoko Shintani.
III. I'm watching disgaea because I liked the game.
IV. I'm watching FMA and Kino's Journey because I've heard great things about them.
V. I'm watching Mahoromatic: Something More Beautiful because I loved the first series and the second one has proven to be very good so far too.

1. First Anime I ever saw was Starblazers
I was 8 years old when I saw my first episode on TV in the US, so I have been watching anime for about 22 years now.

2. My first anime purchase was Starblazers: Iscandar series volume 1 on VHS which had the first 2 episodes and cost $30. This and all 3 complete series are still in my collection. I bought it for sentimental reasons, remembering my youth and what not, but then couldn't stop until I ownerd them all and the movies. Luckily it is considerably less expensive to purchase anime these days online. It is surprising to me how cheap some people are willing to give up some fairly nice anime collections. Because of this I have quite a few videos and DVDs that I haven't even seen yet.

My most recent purchase was the Rurouni Kenshin Samurai X OVA collection, the director's cut. I had a good price with an additional discount at BN.com.

3. I finished watching Trigun today and am looking for a new series to watch. I'll probably browse for a good series here and see if I can either purchase it or at least find a decent fansub.

Some Additional Quirks:
I mostly watch Subs, if I cannot find a particular anime with subtitles. Ever since watching a few subs of my favorite series, Ranma 1/2, I fell in love with the original Japanese voice actors.

I enjoy series of any length or even just a one episode OVA or movie. I like almost any genre as long as it has a good story, but I am a sucker for a good romantic subplot. I think it always ads a nice touch to a series when there are even the slightest nice subtle romantic moments.

For some reason I can not watch more than one series at a time. When I decide to watch something I'll purchase or find as much of the series as is available and usually stay away if it is not complete so I can get through the whole thing and not be left wondering what happens next.

Because of that, I spent a long and tedious 8 months watching nothing but Dragon Ball; 2 or 3 episodes a day. Not that I didn't enjoy most of it, but GT really left me with an empty feeling, wishing I had stopped watching at the end of DBZ and let that be the ending for me.

1. I'm going to go with my answer to the recent ANN Poll, which was Sailor Moon
(a) First saw it in 1995 at the age of 14.
(b) Saw it on TV, Cartoon Network afternoons
(b .i) (optional) Possibly, my younger brother and sister watched it, and I know they explained to me what it was, as in, "they make all those weird faces because it's based on Japanese comic books"
(c) Well, counting stuff like Voltron and Sherlock Hound from years ago, maybe 15-16 years, but I mark my "official" anime-watching epoch as starting at the beginning of 2003 when I started actually buying it, so 3 years, 5 months.

2. First Purchase: Sailor Moon Discs 1-3 (edited dub version)
(a) How much: $9.99 per disc (yay Best Buy closeouts!)
(b) Reason: I wanted to recapture that nostalgia of watching SM on TV, and I wanted to see how things actually ended; the most I could remember was the confrontation in the tower midway through the first season.
(c) Sadly, the 14 dub-only discs of the 1st 2 SM seasons are no longer in my collection. I gave them away for a fundraising-type thing for my school's Anime Club. Kind of a shame, since those discs are out-of-print and valuable now Sad I have the uncut subtitled releases, so the earliest extant disc in the collection is SM S Disc 1.
(d) Most recent purchase: I need to redo it because my credit card got messed up, but it was an order of the Maze TV series collection, Boys Be Vol. 2, My-Hime Vol. 2, and Cowboy Bebop: Remix Vol. 5.
3. Anime you are watching at the moment and sub-categories:
Naruto: 58
Stellvia: 25
Karin: 24
Bleach: 71
To Heart 2: 9
High School Girls: 5
Amaenaideyo!! Katsu!!:6
The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi: 7
Ghost Stories: 17
Kodocha: 25
Diamond Daydreams: 9

(b) Most Recently Finished: might be Kashimashi ~Girl meets girl~, but I think there's a DVD-only episode 13 coming out, so the most recent series I've definitely finished is Sister Princess ~Repure~ (and boy, am I glad it's over Rolling Eyes)

(c) How you came across the current anime you are watching: Some of them, via the fansub group I work with, others, via Anime Club (Naruto, Bleach, and Karin in particular)...some through forums like this one, as I mentioned in the Melancholy~ thread. I started buying Ghost Stories precisely because of all the controversy around it, and first heard about it via the ANN preview article. To Heart 2 ~ watching it because I like the To Heart "universe," even though there's no connection to Akari, Multi, Hiroyuki, and the rest of the gang.

1. I'm going to go with my answer to the recent ANN Poll, which was Sailor Moon

Are you sure you saw it on Cartoon Network back in 1995? I could be wrong, but I thought Sailor Moon ran only in sydication until the summer of 1997 when USA Network began airing it weekday mornings. I thought it didn't hit Cartoon Network until 1998. Actually, looking it up in Wikipedia, it also says CN didn't have the rights until 1998.

Anyway, onto my own anime history.

To be technical, the first anime I ever saw was Voltron around 1985 when I was about 5 years old. Just like many of the other 80s babies on ANN. Anyway, in the spring of 1997, I came across a Speed Racer marathon on CN, and thought it was great fun. I looked it up online, and saw that it was Japanese, but thought nothing of it. When I mentioned it to a friend, however, she excitedly told me that USA Network would begin airing another Japanese show, Sailor Moon, that summer and that I should check it out.

On a fateful day in July of 1997 (I believe it was the 28th), I was waiting for my mom to finish fixing her hair so we could take our exchange student to the airport. While waiting, I flipped on the television and did some channel surfing. Oddly enough, I came across Sailor Moon, and remembered my friend mentioning it. That wasn't all of it though. All of the sudden our French foreign exchange student jumped up and yelled, "That's Sailor Moon!" Needless to say, she was a fan. Her enthusiasm led me to watch the first half of the episode. Unfortunately, we had to leave before it was over, and both of us lamented over not knowing what would happen (it was the first of the two "Rainbow Crystal" finale episodes). The next day, I tuned in at my grandmother's, and have been in love with it ever since.

Er, so anyway, if you count from when I watched Voltron, Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs, and the other random anime that aired in the 80s, I've been watching anime for about 20 years. Going with my Speed Racer/Sailor Moon start, just 9 years.

Ah, purchasing anime in the mid to late 90s. What a dreadful thing. My first purchase was the 2-episode dubbed Sailor Moon VHS tapes that Buena Vista put out. I think the first one I got contained the entrance episodes of Sailor Jupiter (still my favorite senshi) and Sailor Venus, and then I later purchased the VHS with the last 2 episodes of the first season dub. These cost about $25 apiece. Considering that my next purchase was slowly collecting the Oh! My Goddess VHS sub tapes that were $29.95 apiece for just ONE episode, I consider my dub tapes a real 'steal', and they reside in a box somewhere. My O!MG tapes are still on display. I spent $150 on them. They're not going in a box, even if I do have the DVDs for them. :p

My most recent purchase was Gunslinger Girl volumes 2 & 3 on sale from Suncoast. I also have Saber Marionette J, J to X, and J Again on the way from Right Stuf (very nice special), as well as the first DVD of Last Exile with OST (for $9.99, you just can't beat that).

There are many, many anime I'm currently attemping to watch: Bubblegum Crisis (halfway through), rewatching Sailor Moon via my ADV uncut subbed boxsets (it's going slowly), The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, NANA, Fullmetal Alchemist (currently on hold because I keep forgetting what has happened between DVD releases, so I'm just going to wait until it's done before I resume renting), and Candy Candy to name a few.

I came across some of these anime due to recommendation, reading about them on ANN, or in the case of certain boxsets I've recently acquired, through various online specials that were too good to pass up. ^_-

And finally, the show I just finished was Pretty Cure, which I found very disagreeable, and only watched in its entirety so I could proudly proclaim it as my least favorite anime without someone saying "oh, you just didn't give it a chance."

And so that is the anime history of Mylene. Aren't you just so glad you asked?
