I have to hand it to you, Rebecca, being able to say so much about this volume. I'm afraid my review would amount to: if you like Natsume Ono's short stories, you'll like these, but probably won't be wildly enthusiastic. The stories are sketches --- small events in the lives of ordinary people --- and I think they're very successful, displaying a great deal of warmth and craft, but not particularly memorable.
It's funny you should mention the gelateria being recognizable. That gelateria came up in conversation a few weeks ago, so I pulled the book down, and asked, "This one?", and my friend said, "Yes, that's the place".

I've read both this and "Not Simple" by Ms. Ono. I've got to admit it. Natsume Ono is an interesting person. I was surprised by the title of this manga. When I first saw this,I had no idea what that meant. To me,the title of this manga and the last name of actor Tony Danza are similar. I had no idea why she put it there. It had no connection to the guy so I was confused as to what the title meant.
I thought that she might have been a fan of Tony Danza's and she put that there because she liked his last name. I had no idea that it meant "dance." I guess you learn something new every day.
