Gainax, Production IG, and BONES!
If Madhouse did something something that "wasn't" a 100 minute orgy of slicing and body-impaling, then maybe. Studio4C is great, but I haven't liked any of their animes yet. Except the two matrix ones. |

Mishima Heavy Industries in All-Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku, makers of expensive, impractical, revenge-oriented robotics.
AnimEigo or Central Park Media/U.S. Manga Corps, and maybe, Justin (if you're reading this), I'd put CPM above AnimEigo if you re-released Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer with all the nifty bonuses from the new Region 2 re-release last year, or, at the very least, the commentary track with Mamoru Oshii, Shigeru Chiba & Co. |

If you mean production companies and animation studios, there are a whole bunch I like, like AIC, Studio Deen, Toei, Madhouse, Sunrise, Pony Canyon... but I think the cake goes to Studio Pierrot, if just for Urusei Yatsura and Kimagure Orange Road. (Kimagure Orange Road actually ranked 3rd in Pierrot's 25th anniversary poll, which I, as Kiyone, translated in this AnimeNation forum thread... I was surprised to find out KOR was still so well-loved.)

Madhouse for one. They do some of the best animes around, I mean come on, X, Trigun, and vampire Hunter D bloodlust? (I'm pretty sure)
Studio Gonzo is another great one, Hellsing alone makes them great. Sunrise is up there, for Cowboy Bebop And last that I can think of is Studio OLM. No, not for Pokemon, But for one series, you may have heard of. Berserk. Yes...hopefully one day we'll get a second season from these dudes. |

I absolutely adore Gonzo just for the work they did on Saikano. Everything in that series is gorgeous.

Though I really dislike Saikano, I love the animation they do and find Last Exile to the best animated series ever. (For now of course)

BINGO!! I just love looking at the stuff that these studios put out. Whenever I see one of their names attached to a series or movie, I will more than likely give the show a shot. |

Madhouse is definitely my favorite. Kawajiri has done so much to polish their style into something breathtaking. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust alone proves what they're capable of.
And naturally, AIC. They're responsible for both Tenchi Muyo and Ah! My Goddess. Case closed. |
