I'm guessing they're using the real hobby robot that was built during the anime's run. They did a weekly live action series on the anime's webpage with Akiho, Kaito and Jun's vas learning how to build a working robot / making one. This does look really interesting though, as a theatre techie I'm interested in why they went with the whole not using more robots deal. You could easily get around that by using puppets or creating props with limited movements. |
