DanganRonpa was bound to happen given its recent surge in popularity.

If it's the Vita release, will it have both DanganRonpa 1 & 2?

Also, I don't want to be that guy, but it's a shame they won't be looking into using the fan translation that just came out. It was by far the best fan translation I've seen, with a great localization.

In any case, looking forward to picking this up next year.

Interestingly enough, this now makes two titles for which NISA holds the game license and Funimation holds the anime (streaming) license.

I'm kind of sad it's not both, but one's better than none.

Seeing as both of the 2 were released on the PSP only before the vita version containing 1+2... I'd say it is safe to assume that this is the Vita 1+2 version.

Literally cried tears of joy and hope. NISA for Super Duper Publisher Level Hope. /shot

I'm thinking it'll be a special cut of 1 from the Japanese 1+2 bundle. If it was both, I'm sure they would have mentioned it. Plus the costs of translating both right off the bat would be fairly high. It's not like Japan where it's a rerelease they can copy/paste from.

Looks like I'm wrong. I've read a tweet saying it's the vita version but they cut out the 2nd game.

From what i've heard the 1-2 Reload Vita game would have been the best most comprehensive version ever, but I can also understand NISA's unwillingness to devote so much to getting out 2 quality VNs out in this timespan.

Unlike their anime, NIS America dubs all their games right?

Assuming Funimation eventually picks up home video rights and plans to dub the DanganRonpa anime series in the future, it would be nice if there was consistency and the video game had the same cast.

If NIS America uses Okratron5000 fans would get to find out the anime's dub cast well in advance (studio uses a lot of the FUNi talent pool). Smile

NIS America Game release: Early 2014 (Spring?)

Funimation Anime Release: Probably Winter 2014

Well thats pointless. The first game is already fan translated... it would be big news if this was announcing the 2nd game as well. So much for my hype.

Its not pointless. Not eveyone uses fan translations. I'd rather own the official english version, and of course if it sells well they'll eventually bring over the second. So yeah, I'm still hyped.

Also not everyone hacks their PSP to be able to play patched ISOs of games either.
