Have no idea about those 2 titles, but lately I've been wondering: when they say a serialization will end, does that mean it will have a definite ending or "ended" as in "getting axed for not being popular enough"?

Give me a break, Carbon Dioxide & Kiss had barely started. I hope this cancellation is because the mangaka ran out of ideas and not because Banbu-san was disliked by readers.

It could be either, and I'm pretty sure the ambiguity is by design. Though in a lot of cases it's easy to tell what's going on (e.g. a Shonen Jump title whose serialization will end 15 chapters in).
