Wow, that's a big oops. LoL I'm kind of glad that FUNimation didn't get it though.

This is becoming the next "when will new Inu-Yasha episodes be out?" type topic on ANN, isn't it? Neutral

Well now that that's official, I apologize to the people who I claimed were rumour-mongering. Nonetheless, you still need to present a source like ANN in the future.

Why not? They would of been perfect for this series.

Don't forget the "When will Sailor Stars be liscensed?!" topic as well, or has that died down and have dense people of the moonie fandom finally gotten the message?

Along with all of the other news sites. Abosolutly every online news site was of the understanding that FUNimation had the rights. What I'd like to know is why it took ANN contacting FUNi for them to come clean. Surely they knew people thought they had the license, why didn't they say something sooner and how long would they have let this go on for?

I think it was because FUNimation officially implied that they had it, and wouldn't discuss it further. ANN's not the one to blame here.

I happen to be a fan of Sailor Moon, and that has to be the most blatantly generalized and offensive thing I've heard in a while. I regularly read Anime News Network and happen to be very (painfully) aware, thank you, that Sailor Stars isn't licensed. In fact, I remember hearing that a company (I think it was Pioneer) approached Toei for the rights but was dettered when they found out how $$$ they were.

Hmm, maybe I should go around saying "all CLAMP fans are stupid groupies who read said artist's crappy, recycled-character, money-motivated stories." I bet people would love me then, eh?

Of course, I happen to enjoy a couple of CLAMP's titles, so I'd be making a pretty generalized statement, especially considering that I only believe that's true of a portion of their work.
