Is there any announcement that a second season of Gakuen Alice would be released? Do you think it's more ideal to read the manga? What is the scope of its manga anyway? Thanks.

What exactly is the "scope" you were referring to?

Sorry it's not understandable. What I mean is what the manga is all about after it exceeds the episodes shown in the anime. Like, does it show the high school and college life of Mikan? Up to what point in the life of Mikan does it show? Something like that.

From what I've seen scanslated, the manga is still dealing with the kids at the same age they were in the anime.

However, there have been several "arc's" added beyond what was shown in the anime. Plus the manga is slightly different than the anime to begin with if I remember correctly.

Though I'm a fan of Gakuen Alice, I was disappointed at how it ended, and how there isn't any announcement of a second season. The manga's much longer, that's what I know, and it's still in progress.

Wasn't it originally intended to be 52 episodes, and they had to cut it short suddenly due to low ratings? Which would also explain why no second season. I'll have to check out the manga at some point.
