Depends on if you like incredibly clumsy guy keeps falling into girls' boobs/panties humour. I quite enjoy the series myself and the artwork is nice (unlike that awful Angelic Days manga).
This better have a Rei End or there'll be hell to pay.

highly doubt it considering that the creator usually like asuka hence forth the end of eva movie.it would be a real surprise if the manga does have a rei type ending. especially considering on how the original NGE manga ended.
and angelic days isnt that bad at all. especially compared to campus apocalypse which is hands down the worst of the spinoffs.
though the real surprise so far is that that there isnt an anime version for this series considering how popular it is.

No,it's pretty bad. It's just Shinji falling into boobs every 5 pages. Nice artwork can't distract from terrible writing.

Had been wondering about this manga. Read Angelic Days, and enjoyed that one well enough (art was rough), had thought about getting this manga. But, from the comments here, sounds like something I can skip.
I really should get around to watching the Eva anime...

Which creator? Anno? End of Eva isn't really a good measure of who he prefers...
Besides, have you not seen the Rebuild movies? It's Shinji/Rei through and through. The manga adaptation was too despite it ending the way it did.
I know I'm a bit biased, but I have all of Dark Horse's releases of Raising Project and it certainly feels like it's building to a Shinji/Rei end. I just hope it follows through.

Art-wise Angelic Days is awful. Campus Apocalypse was much better in that regard.

Trust your instinct. I'm not someone who normally writes snarky comments in forums--but honest to goodness, this manga could not have ended sooner, or rather it should've stopped a long time ago, or maybe it shouldn't have started at all. Angelic Days may have had rough artwork, but it told a story that was solid and strong enough for me to not pay attention to it, and especially compared to Raising Project it at least had a soul. I feel fortunate to still have the ADV manga volumes, but someone should seriously license-rescue that title so people can give it another chance.

This manga is so bad and stupid, but I honestly can't help but get some dumb pleasure out of it. Its the epitome of "guilty pleasure" for me. If it werent Evangelion I'd probably never give it the time of day.
Is that bad and hypocritical? Probably, but that's why we fall back on "guilty pleasures," sometimes we can't explain them. We all have em

Lol I loved the spoof that Shinji Ikari Raising Project did on itself for the Evangelion anniversary collection. Shinji had become so powerful and clumsy that he could fall anywhere and take a girls skirt off 30 feet away without touching it.

Given all the Freudian and sexual symbolism in Evangelion, I think Shinji being a clumsy harem guy makes sense.
I actually liked Eva: Angelic Days because it was a romance. Heck, an ADV Manga ad for it was talking about it being Eva world where dating the right girl is more important than saving the world.a

Talking about this manga or the anime?

That's part of the blub on the back of volume 1, in big maroon letters, it reads, "Imagine a Neon Genesis Evangelion in which dating the right girl is more important than saving the world..."

@Ali07, I highly recommend watching Evangelion (the original tv series). It's a classic and one of the most influential and controversial anime series of all time. There's a reason Eva frequently shows up on "Top Ten Anime" lists.

actually there are people that do like it. sure its an inferior full metal panic fuumofu , and the raising project is a lot better than angelic days, but it was still entertaining to say the least. and while campus apocalypse does have decent artwork, its story is an absolute abomination.it only got the mention cause it have the NGE label on it otherwise people wouldnt really gave two cents on that manga.

not exactly. if it was really that bad, then it wouldnt have lasted as long as it did. and there are some otakus that do like that type of fanservice. there is a reason why this manga have like over 10+ volumes, and ridiculously popular within the otaku community while the uber awful campus apocalypse only have 5 and haven't been mentioned since. now that series have completely terrible if not unforgiving writing.
