And that was the end of Akito. Still waiting for my 10th anniversary CG announcement. The final Akito movie better not be the 10th anniversary celebration, Sunrise.

I am glad to see that Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash continues to have strong numbers. A second season is looking like a possibility.

sucks that Schwarzesmarken didn't make the list.

Poor Funimation. They must be hitting their heads against the wall after seeing those sales for Dimension W.

Why? Funimation is one of several parties that financed the anime. Japan did not care much for Dimension W, but Funimation will probably sill make some money from the Toonami run and domestic disc sales.

Those are not exactly 'sequel' sales.

For an adaptation they are sequel numbers. Noragami S1 averaged around 4.5k and got a sequel; Grimgar could average the same.

Sequels are not always determined by disc sales, a lot of series in that range also do not get a sequel.

I don't see why you would bring up Noragami, and what is the differnce between 'sequel' numbers and 'non-sequel' numbers?

They were the second biggest investor in the series though, so they put a decent amount of change into it. They can make some money in due time, sure, eventually, but I highly doubt they'll recuperate right away.

Ah, Dimension W. I wanted to like you, but thought you were very middle of the road. Seems like those that buy discs in Japan thought less of you.

I have a feeling Funi is using that "we're waiting on getting the masters from Japan" as an excuse. They licensed at Otakon 2013 (Aug. version) and I think by now Bandai would have given them the masters.
