About time. This has been long overdue imo but glad to see it coming now and for July 2016!

The cast and staff give me high expectations, despite my lack of familiarity with the source material. Should I take it airing as part of Oha-Suta as a sign of it being a short-form anime, or am I misinterpreting this?

Well, there was a online flash anime. It was... quite bad.

The synopsis and overall theme seems quite similar to the similarly-themed Mod Psycho 100, which is due to premiere in July, as well. I hope both will get chosen for the DSR Smile

I wonder how the writer of the news was able to write "Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan" two times:

"Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan Manga Gets TV Anime in July"

"next Monday that Shūichi Asō's Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan supernatural comedy manga"

And after this write the main character name 2 times wrong :

"Hiroshi Kamiya as the protagonist Kasuo Saiki"

"The manga centers on a high school boy named Kasuo Saiki"

But in the end of the article write the name right:

"The protagonist Kusuo Saiki also appeared in the Shonen Jump's J-Stars Victory VS"

Laughing

So... Is this going to feature manga chapters that haven't been translated to English?.

Since there are apparently over 100 of Chapters in Japanese.

It's kinda similar to Mob Psycho 100, but the type of series that it is is quite different. It's an episodic comedy. I would compare it more to Gintama if anything.

If its about the question on if the anime is covering only the english (fan-translated I suppose) chapters or the original japanese sources then thats a very silly question, sorry to say it that way.
We dont know how much the anime will cover and adaptations do not follow unofficial translations progress.

I would say its just like mob psycho but i haven't read it so i cant say for sure(that summary kinda sounds similar tho) and it doesn't really help that they both drop in july ill give a try(i hope people dont sit up and compare the to buuuuut im pretty sure they will).I just hope he's not psychic too.

We have absolutely no info about it so far. Not even the episodes duration.
They could even go right into anime original right after the first episode, we will only know when this anime will air.
Use your common sense, this article said everything we know about it so far.

Such great news, I love the manga but there's not much of it in English.
