If someone is wondering One Piece Volume 82 low sales, it was released on July 4. But I think that wasn't hard to guess.

Well holy crap, Yuragi. 70k over the course of a month is a lot better than I would've expected. Looks like Jump found its new To Love Ru.
There's a lot of people butthurt about that, so that's great. |

^ it will have to sell 300k more than its last volume for it to reach 2m(in the same amount fo days) and its already behind it by 4k in presales

Those are actually bad numbers for One Piece standards.
Around 8 months ago, its 80th volume had over 270k in pre-sales during the day prior to its official release : animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-01-06/japanese-comic-ranking-december-21-27/.97275. When volume 81 fell to 134k in pre-sales and then had the lowest first week sales for the manga in years, people wondered if exterior factors (the earthquake, bank holidays...) could have explained this decrease in sales, but now volume 82's pre-sales haven't actually recovered from volume 81's slump, worse they've fallen even further (if only marginally). |
