Rance X is actually the first time MG has announced something on the year it released in Japan. Last year, they announced Evenicle which was released on 2016, but it's still surprising mainly for that reason. Granted, Rance X is so large that it probably won't actually be released for 2 or 3 years, but at least there's 0 chance for a different company to snatch Rance away from them. Rance IX should release sometime 2019, probably during the last quarter. It depends mostly on how quickly they can script and beta test Sengoku Rance and Rance Quest.
I was actually expecting both the yuri game and BL game to be announced during Otakon (not these specific ones, but ones in the same genre). Maybe Pride month being in the month before has something to do with it.
