Two games I was looking forward to promised to launch this summer and then didn't.
Meanwhile, every anime that sees itself as popular seems to think making a mobile game is the thing to do now.
I've said before that to me, it looks like a bubble, but I could be wrong. But I wouldn't be surprised if this business model doesn't last much longer. It seems really unsustainable, especially as more and more fans realize they're dropping money into legitimately nothing.

Atelier: We put out a mainline game every year, but the one time we build something Atelier that won't be outdated in a year, we trip! I joke, I joke. I just have little care for smartphone games, as I don't have one of those devices.
