Ok seriously, where the hell is Kaban-chan?! Evil or Very Mad

This far in and they still haven’t rolled her out? If she is included where the hell is she gonna be now? She can’t be placed between Serval and Caracal, because then she is blocking PPP(and we all know the penguin waifus aren’t being covered up). Far in the background? Kinda lame placement for the main god damn character of the first season.

The more and more they add characters to the key visual the more I am worried Kaban-chan won’t be returning, and if that is the case, that will be the final nail for this second season. The cementing point that Kadokawa doesn’t understand whatsoever what it was that made the first season so successful and beloved.

Where are they? Are they invisible or is this another "Where's Waldo?" Had to check the website (I did not want to give them no clicks). Anyway, they look as bad as the other Waifu Friends. Someone please save them. Crying or Very sad

You've honestly lost me, I genuinely don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Kaban is not exactly a Kemono, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's never added to the visual but it's still in the anime.
But who knows, it's Kadokawa after all.

i feel bad for the animation staff that have to work on this. no matter how much love they put into it, it will be the ire of fans because of what kadokawa did to tatsuki and the previous staff.

I think that because the game this series is based on failed, if the anime failed then the franchise would never exist, so the executives at Kadokawa wanted someone to make at least a successful anime out of it. Once the anime is popular, they think the franchise will continue well without Tatsuki, so that´s one of the reasons he was fired. They expect money more than a successful anime, so you fans should stop making a giant circlejerk out of this, no matter if this new season works or not.

The singer of that theme was involved in a scandal last year and Capcom stated that they are distancing themselves from him. It is possible that Capcom might replace his song but I have not seen any update so far.

Anyway, they better bring back Kaban-chan. She is one of the best girls in the show.

Plugging my usual "Japan otaku-bashing" paranoia in, I think the new "fake" producers really DID think we didn't want to see Kaban. That's why we're all worried.

Ask any full-addict fan over here a year ago, and they treated the whole "What happened to the people?" subplot as if it was some dark post-apocalyptic cable binge-series--Season 1 of KemonoWorld. Just try to get some fans to talk about any other episode besides the one with Tsuchinoko throwing out all those underground plot teases.
But in Japan, where "only" lonely immature girl-rejected perverts watch anime, why, they turned on the series to watch Serval, Raccoon and Emperor Penguin! It's the CUTE GIRLS that created the bi-coastal phenomenon! Very Happy
(And poor Grape-kun being a Penguin-Girls fanbird didn't help the image any either.)

That's probably we've not only gotten the all-girls images so far, but--like certain Star Wars producers--they've decided to chuck the continuation of everything that happened previously in the trash and just sell the marketing, possibly with a prequel.
Oh, but don't worry, they've improved the animation quality, since that was all we heard everyone complain about the first time. Rolling Eyes

Unfortunately, while I object to the "circlejerk" remark as I too am afraid for what Kaban's absence means for the story, I also sadly recognize that Kadokawa is right on the mark for what made the show a pop phenomenon IN JAPAN and that is the "Friends". Like the simpletons they likely are, they are ramping up with new "Friends" and to heck with the intrigue the story built about what happened in the human world and what our band finds on the other "island" they were motoring to at the end of the last episode. That for me is what I was most looking forward to and Kaban was the focus of that so if she really is absent, that part of the story will likely not be there or put off for later. If Kadokawa is smart, they will include that rather than have a "Friends-Exclusive" extravaganza.

I'm sure the older-fan gushing over the "Post-apocalyptic?" mystery was as strong in Japan as it was over here--the US fans can't have had the monopoly on it--but in Japan, the corporate owners' default-stereotypic "answer" to why an anime was a hit is one well that they go to a little too often...

...Someday, we'll be able to convince mainstream Japan that fans watch anime for the story and characters (which is like saying you really do read Playboy for the articles), but apparently today is not that day. Sad
