There's no Blu-Ray in Japan, and even the TV-fansubs were only worth doing in 576p, apparently. By all indications, it's an SD show. Maybe Sentai / Maiden Japan weren't allowed to do an upscale, or didn't feel it was financially worthwhile. About the best we could've hoped for was SD-BD, but the Japanese side could've nixed that, as well.
