Wow, no X Japan or Yoshiki this year. At least we still have the annual thrill of seeing whether Keyakizaka46 survives their own performance.

Is it, usually? I always spend New Year's Eve morning scouring the internet at 5AM for a pirate stream. I'd be delighted to have a legitimate way to pay for and watch Kouhaku.

EDIT: Also, Official HiGE DANdism making their debut is a big deal. As I look right now, they own six of the top 10 songs on Apple Music’s Japan Top 100 chart. Throw in Arashi (currently #9 and #10 on that same list), and I've gotta assume White Team is going to totally roll Red Team again. Unless they change the voting rules yet again this year.

EDIT 2: Also, no Sekai no Owari? I'm gonna miss creepy clown guy.

Finally, no more Golden Bomber! Got really sick of hearing Memeshikute.

I really liked King Gnu's song Prayer X. I've heard they've been making their way up the charts too so I'll be interested in seeing them perform.

Official HiGE DANdism and King Gnu being on there is extremely expected with how big of hits they've both had this year. Awesome that LiSA is finally there, she's only been teh biggest anisong singer of the past decade lol
