I can already tell this movie is going to be a real tear jerker and I already started feeling emotional hearing Butterfly in the trailer. The animation looks really great and I can’t wait to see it.

I might have been far more moved and excited by this if tri. didn't make me suspect that anything Digimon related was nothing more than a cash grab...

I mean the Digimon franchise was designed as a cashgrab property to begin with.

For sure. I've loved this franchise for a long time. It will be sad to see it go forever. It seems like they intend to really end it this time

Do we have to milk the separation theme again?

How many times have these kids seriously worried about never seeing them again & said goodbye to their Mons? It gets old after the 1st time.

As opposed to which one? Pokémon, Yokai Watch, Yu-Gi-Oh? Everyone of them is and has been a "cashgrab", too.

The funniest part it's that we already know there wont be a separation, we already saw them together at the end of D2 over 20 years ago.

It's almost as if Digimon is a series for kids.

Isn’t this movie supposed to be for the grown-ups though?

It's about as much for "grown ups" as Boruto and DB Super are which are also nostalgia cash grabs.

As opposed to nothing since that wasn't my point.
