We never got a home video release overseas of the second season.

Too bad i expected Nogi Wakaba wa Yūsha de Aru to be the next Yūsha de Aru anime, anyway another Yuyuyu is still good news, can't wait.

The second series did end with a suggestion that more might be coming, so this isn't a big surprise. Definitely a pleasant one, however.

This is gonna be one of those things I only finally get around to when they're not making new stuff to get excited about, huh. Well, that might actually be more convenient for me, lol.

Yeah, I've been wondering for a while if Ponycan's US branch is even still a thing or not. They haven't released anything physically in a while, but they still have a website and social media accounts exist. They're mostly dormant, though. The last news post on the website is from 2018. I guess they're still handling distribution for streaming rights maybe?

Really?
Given how well it did in Japan (probably as the only "serious/dark" magical girl after Madoka that managed to be a hit), I'm not surprised.

I’m still surprised, because it seemed like there was barely enough material left in the premise to make a second season, considering that only half of that season actually continued the story, while the other half filled in the backstory of Togo and Gin.

Didn't they pretty much destroy the whole system las time? How do you continue from there? Should you continue from there?
Considering how rushed the previous season and how random its ending were, I don't have much faith. I would have been more excited about a NoWaYu adaptation.

Yeah, season 2's ending kinda wrapped up everything. The heavenly gods are dead, Shinjuu is also dead, and humanity is freed. There's no enemies to fight, and the girls don't have any powers to fight them with. Unless it's just going to be a slice of life anime about reconstructing the world. That wouldn't be too bad.
NoWaYu would have been vastly superior though.

I was thinking no, honestly. I liked season 2, but considering it was more like two OVA series stitched together, I thought they had already accepted there wasn't much left to cover.
Not to mention I keep worrying that more YuYuYu means a greater chance of it deciding to go full Madoka and kill all/most of its cast, even though it started as the anti-Madoka. Hopefully they've been taking notes from Symphogear...

My permission was not sought for this, but I'm cool with it.

I don't think they're doing anime releases anymore.
Hopefully someone can get season 2 and possibly dub it, same with Euphonium TV.

The "second season" was half the prequel, so I can see this "third season" also being half NoWaYu. Who knows.
