As a friendly suggestion, it might be a good idea to post your collection here, so we can know just what you have and more easily make suggestions without the chance of simply mentioning titles you already own.

Maybe you should also tell us what you're looking for... comedy, mecha, fantasy, etc...

Get Escaflowne or Full Metal Panic. Can't really go wrong with those two.

You can go wrong with Escaflowne, not with Full Metal Panic though.

Hehe, well currently looking for some action, I prefer sword/samurai types , but as you can see by collection I am flexible.

I third Full Metal Panic!. Excellent series all-around. Witch Hunter Robin's another good one, as is the X TV series. Gunsmith Cats and Read or Die are excellent one-disc series (if you like Bebop, I'm reasonably certain you'll get a kick outta Gunsmith Cats), and Nadesico's a nice mech-comedy type series that you can pick up really cheap these days.
EDIT: I didn't see your most recent post when I initially typed this one out. If you're into swordplay, Rurouni Kenshin is an absolute MUST, as are the Tsuioku-Hen OVAs (known in America by the sickeningly awful title "Samurai-X: Trust & Betrayal;" and get the individual volumes because the director's cut's not as good). |

One of the animes I always recommend is X. CLAMP's artwork is magnificent, and the story is engaging with enough action to keep most happy. Now for list form (dum dumdum da)
Mecha: Full Metal Panic, Evangelion, RahXephon Samurai: Rurouni Kenshin, Peacemaker Kurogane (both set in same time period) Comedy: FLCL, AMSD, Excel Saga Vampire: Hellsing, Witch Hunter Robin There's a few series for you to ponder. |

Yes, X is awesome indeed, Kenshin is a must, even if you don't like sword animes. Lodoss War is a good one.

Kenshin is also nice becuase it has a nice love story to go with it, especially the OVAs. For a love story, Ah! My Goddess is a good choice. I'm not a huge fan of Lodoss, but it's definitely worth a look.

There is a bunch of recommendations in this thread.
You may also like to check out Ninja Scroll for some samurai action. Non-samurai, I'd say try Tenchi Muyo! and Ah! My Goddess. Even if they aren't your type of thing, you might enjoy them. |

Kai Doh Maru is quite good and is set in feudal Japan.
And also is available domestically...they did the sword fighting animation exceptionally well. For ass kick a thons and shoot em up stuff, it's hard to beat Spriggan. That movie had some of the nicest combat I've ever seen animated in it... j |
