I'm glad they officially released the prologue in English.
And man, are the lyrics for the OP on-point for the shows' plot.

Always was. The Gundam's behavior in Prologue, and how Cardo Nabo refers to it, are consistent with something that is alive and has a will. Lfrith didn't respond to Elnora because it was like a child that didn't understand, but it did respond to Eri, who was also a small child, and who talked to it and told it things, forming a bond. Lfrith is Aerial, so it stands to reason that the AI in Lfrith carried over to Aerial. The short story is less intended to be a confirmation and more a deep dive into the AI's mind, what it knows that Eri doesn't, how it feels about that and about those around it. The main anime will probably eventually touch on this. They've hinted at it there a few times already, though I'm not sure why they're trying to hide it.
