Funnily I was reading a reddit thread about this same thing... except a different company... The comments were full of ai bros insisting it would be AI used as a tool for all the types of things noone would care about and that artists worried were fearmongering luddites. Yet here it is, a seperate company embracing AI for level design, graphics, music, all core artistic elements we expect a human artist to be involved with.
Also... why is it always the same rhetoric? "autocorrect has been used in phones for ages", yeah sure, but no-one would want to read a book by autocorrect. |

Those techbros, just like the people actually developing the software, know exactly what they’re doing, all the gigantic negatives that will come out it, world changing negatives, and just don’t care. They’ll play ignorant, but they know they’re just in it for the money. There’s gotta be a pretty big overlap with people who use tech subreddits and crypto/nft/stock market/conspiracy subs. They absolutely will make their money, but in a few years there will be a very small select amount of people raking in all the cash while the rest of the world undergoes huge job losses along with loss of culture. |
