The production info is from the wrong season.

Aside from that, I'm enjoying this show a lot more than I thought I'd be. And it only gets better from here on out!

The penultimate episode of this batch encapsulates a lot of my feelings on this show. There are some cool ideas being presented (an invasion of the school by the Explorers), but the execution ultimately ends up feeling flat (nothing really happens and nobody at the school even notices they got invaded)

This was also the moment where the cracks started to further widen in the show's already struggling production (hello 11 animation directors in the finale episode here)

Ash Ketchum lost a lot in the original Pokemon too. Like half his badges in the Indigo League were gotten on technicalities. I guess now it's like a rite of passage for a Pokemon protagonist to job a lot.

at least in the end, satoshi defeated shirona in the pokemon master finals and not some random OP opponent (LOOKING AT YOU TOBIAS & DARKRAI)

it would have been a real rob job if he had had actually lost in his final season as the protagonist!
