Hopefully, this gets dealt with soon. I've come across the problem on other sites when I'm looking for game guides, and it made me decide to go to other websites.

Same. Happened on Wednesday but I didn't save a screenshot, just closed out the window.

When I tried to respond in another thread it popped up again. I'll try to report it as quickly as I can but I usually have to close my whole browser.
I can't continue with the report for some reason because it's frozen on "Report a Problem" :c

I know back when this first started happening to me a few days ago that I tried to report but then the ad that stayed at the very bottom of the screen kept getting in the way of the Report window... making it impossible to get the report finish and and submitted.

Nice to know I'm not crazy. I've been seeing ads in threads for some reason after every comment which is one thing but when I try to comment these ads basically get in the way making it hard to see the screen.
Thought it was because of me wiping my phone the other day but even before that I would have these ads sometimes showing up on other sites but never getting in the way on those.
Edit: They fixed it

Every time I view the site on mobile, I get yanked up and down the article I'm reading, making it very hard to keep my place. This is on Chrome on an Android phone. I think this is caused by new ads loading, but is there anything that can be done about it?

I've been dealing with that for so long! It drives me nuts when the ad minimizes and then pops back out again and scrolls the page down so I lose my place! So irritating!
Additionally, I had the page for this article about reporting redirects, funnily enough, redirect 3 times to one of those Google confetti covered scam pages before I could even get the entire article read! Each time I'd hit back, it'd take me back to the main page instead of what I was trying to read about reporting the very issue itself!

Oh good, I'm not the only one getting that fake Google redirect. Really makes me want to keep reading content on the site when I can't, y'know, read it.
Even beyond mobile the basic browsing experience on this site has become extremely unpleasant. Both a top auto-playing video AND bottom ad overlay on every single page load (which in mobile's case is awful for data usage). Pages that are constantly jumping up and down as they load new ads. Pages so full of scripting that they bring some browsers' performance to its knees. This is the sort of garbage behavior I expect from a Fandom wiki, not a long-standing reputable news site. I get that it's harder than ever to pay the bills on the modern Internet, but surely making the user experience so bad that it drives them to adblockers or just to leave isn't the best answer.

The fake Google Thing really pissed us off this weekend. It should be resolved, but please report it if it happens again.

Thanks for letting us know. I'll bring it to the appropriate team's attention and hopefully it can be fixed.

We've just made some changes that should hopefully end this behavior. It might take a few days for it to fully clear the ad serving cache, but a decrease should be apparent immediately.
If it reoccurs after ~5 days from now, please let me know (in a new thread).
