it could be (Space) Armageddon as i remember a character that looks like tetsuo poorly drawn. I put space in brackets as some sources like imdb call it Space Armageddon but this site simply calls it Armageddon. However i have to await my replacement VHS tape i ordered to replace my old tape that i lost many years ago.

In a lot of anime — Patlabor being a great example — mechs like the Labors are often treated as the functional equivalent of modern tanks. They're heavily armed, armored units that can operate independently or as part of a squad, depending on the mission. Whether used in urban conflict zones, riot control, or full-scale military operations, these machines are positioned as frontline assets, just like tanks are in real-world warfare. It's not just about the firepower either — it's their presence, mobility, and strategic role that really draw the parallel.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to find the title of an animated Japanese movie I used to watch on DVD when I was a child, sometime between 2010 and 2015. It's not a Studio Ghibli film, but it had a similar visual/artistic style.

Here’s what I remember:

The main character was a young girl with short black hair (a bob cut).

She was accompanied by an older boy – maybe a cousin, brother, or just a friend.

They were always outside, playing, jumping on rocks in rivers, exploring nature.

One scene really stood out: a woman or princess dressed all in white passes by in a beautiful carriage. You can only glimpse her face behind white curtains, and white flower petals fall from the trees as she goes by. The whole scene felt very ethereal and dreamlike.

Another scene I remember vividly: the kids sneak into a movie theater showing an erotic film. They don’t have tickets and are too young, so they get kicked out.

There was also a scene where they eat some long red candies on sticks.

Throughout the movie, there was some kind of theme or subplot involving fish — but I can’t remember the details.

The overall tone of the film was somewhat melancholic or dramatic, not action-heavy, more contemplative and emotional.

If anyone has any clue what this might be, I’d be incredibly grateful! I’ve had these images in my mind for years and I’d love to finally reconnect with this movie.
