Question to anybody who knows the manga’s story, without spoilers, is the anime rushing through this material? Like are they going to adapt the entire story in just these two cours?

Looks like she could be Ran's angry older sister.

The funny thing is that its going 8 chapters per episode, when a normal anime uses 3 chapters, so its super rushing and skipping a lot of stuff, for example:
The battle against Mr. Snake and Mr. Frog were 2 different fights, I calculate they will get to the part the previous series ended by episode 25, when it took the previous anime 52 episodes.
BUT, at the same time it's making up stuff in order to accommodate the plot to the changes, for example: Yaiba never went back in time but the episode was added in order to justify Yaiba getting stronger, since we skipped all his training in this new version.
And now, we are getting Onimaru's sister coming out of nowhere, in the manga she was a character at the beginning of the plot and then she just... disappeared together with Onimaru's grandfather.
So, they are making up/skipping stuff while keeping as much as possible from the original plot, so IN THEORY they could do anything.
They could even skip the next 2-3 arcs make 2-3 episodes of set up and jump into the final battle, who knows?
