Emaqi is not fully ai, its basically ai does the translating then it gets auto corrected by a real translator. So its not fully ai, but instead Ai + Human assistance.
"The emaqi platform will feature manga titles that were previously released in English, and also titles exclusively translated by Orange Inc.'s in-house studio, Studio Mikan. Orange Inc. stated that to enhance efficiency and ensure high-volume, consistent-quality translations, it will "leverage AI-assisted translation to support [its] in-house team of approximately 20 human translators." Using AI translation then getting a pro translator to correct it makes no sense. It's not making it any faster because the pro translator is gonna have to fully translate it all anyways. It's literally just adding two extra steps to the process that add no benefit whatsoever. Language is not math, there's room for interpretation and languages are constantly evolving. You can literally have the same sentence mean multiple things, and if the author doesn't specify, it's up to the reader to guess on the interpretation. There's that meme, for example, where it's the same sentence, but you have one different word italicized in each version, and all of the versions ultimately mean different things. Authors never have to be that clear about it. AI translation only makes sense in the fan translation scene where people want something translated, but the odds of it getting an official translation are nil and there are no fluent fans contributing. |

I just wrote the post to inform people that its not fully ai translation and the 2 volumes being translated by human beings only. And yeah, the whole AI + Human assistance is so stupid, its just a company that dosent want to miss the AI hype train, so they had to put AI somewhere, even if its useless and gives the translators more work |
