I just found this thread and admit that I haven't read it, but I used to maintain the Bilingual Comics (manga) Mini-FAQ on the Usenet newsgroup rec.arts.manga. Hopefully that will help. (If you want, I can post the whole thing here; Google Groups munged the Japanese, but I have it on file.)
Also, you should know that you can shorten Amazon URLs—see this old version of the "Amazon Standard Identification Number" article on Wikipedia. If you follow that, phpBB shouldn't break the URLs. E.g. the link in the previous post can be converted to: https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/458416519X |

I just found this and spent about 2 hours going through everything that was mentioned and trying to find as many as I can of the books mentioned and I would love to get some help in obtaining the TOKION magazines if anyone has any leads?

Sorry for 2 year necrobump but Mitseru Yokoyama (creator of Tetsujin 28 a.k.a. Gigantor) adaptation of Romance of the 3 kingdom volumes now have bilingual versions in print as of my posting. I considered picking them up but with shipping costs it nearly doubles the cost. Volume 1: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/4267022100 Volume 2: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/4267022119 Volume 3: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/4267022127 Please note: I'm not sure if the bilingual volume has the same amount of content as the corresponding numbered volume in the original 60 volume non-bilingual version or if it is what we in the English market call an omnibus. |
